What a 💎 gem. Lovely cafe in the heart of Grange. Easy parking. The menu has good options for breakfast and lunch. There is a friendly atmosphere with pleasant staff. Their pricing is realistic and represents good value for money.

This place is local to me,nice to have a good local cafe without having to go to the village. I usually go for breakfast but sometimes the scrambled eggs can vary in portion size and they could be more fluffy but okay overall, also I had the Chicken salad for lunch very nice and plenty of it. Nice place for a catch up but could be sound proofed a bit better as the noise does travel. 😐

The Leaping Salmon

07/03/2024: Was just ok. Did not understand the hype about this place. But it was great to eat here. I know it is a seafood restaurant so expect just seafood dishes as if you expect more on the menu the you will be spoilt for choice, it deserves the hype as the dishes are amazing.
17/02/2024: The leaping salmon is a gem of Blackrock. Solid guiness, decent wine selection and epic, really genuinely good pizza. Loads of small nooks and corners to huddle down for pints and chats. Big TV always showing the match, be it rugby, football or gaa. Nice staff. High standard.

The Pie Guys

07/12/2023: Was really not expecting much but was flabbergasted by the flavor in the filling and the flake of the crust! We tried the beef Cheesy Kiwi and the Chicken Sage pies. Both were delicious. The meat was well cooked and the sauce was very creamy but not too overpowering—all perfectly balanced! The person helping us was super friendly and definitely knew his products and wish we tried more things like the sides and pastries after we realized how good everything was! The best thing we ate in Cork and maybe even all of Ireland?!?? 10/10 recommend. It was inside the English market so there wasn’t really any great spots to sit on a cold windy morning, but we managed to find a bench outside. No fault of the owner or establishment, just more of a suggestion to the market itself. Anyone visiting Cork should stop by!
