A Hidden Gem in the Heart of Lahinch We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Sancta Maria Hotel in Lahinch. The location is perfect—just a short stroll to the town centre and only 350 metres from the scenic promenade. It’s also right next to the world-famous Lahinch Golf Club, which makes it an ideal base for golf enthusiasts. The rooms were spotlessly clean, with newly carpeted floors and freshly tiled bathrooms, giving everything a crisp and modern feel. The attention to detail was evident throughout the hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. Breakfast was a real highlight, with generous portions, quality ingredients, and hands down the best brown bread we’ve had that day!!!. Don’t miss it! Another plus is the proximity to Vaughans seafood restaurant (the newer location, not the original—but just as good!). It’s just a short walk away and perfect for a relaxed evening out. Pro tip: Ask for Room 7 if you need a bit more space—it comes with a double and a single bed and is particularly well laid out. We’ll definitely be returning. Sancta Maria is a real find in Lahinch!

Extremely hospitable hosts, very clean rooms and bathrooms, excellent made-to-order breakfast. I was visiting from the United States and this was my favorite accommodation of the whole trip. I think this was the first hotel I have ever stayed at anywhere in the world where the bathroom floor actually looked clean. Beds were comfortable and tidy. Breakfast was very very good, the best of my entire stay in the country. The staff were not only accommodating but also extremely kind. In addition, it was very close to the beach and downtown area. Highly recommended to anyone staying in Lahinch.

A wonderful place to stay! The manager, Thomas, was so sweet and accommodating. He stayed up late to check our group in, carried our bags up the stairs, and woke up early to provide a great breakfast. The location is good too with lots of shops, a golf course, and beaches in the area. Highly recommend this hotel!!

We had an amazing stay, such a perfect location. The hotel is old but has amazing character, the beds are so comfortable, and the place is spotless. The breakfast (cooked by Thomas) was absolutely superb. What truly sets this hotel apart, though, is the exceptional hospitality. Every staff member made us feel genuinely welcome with their warmth and attentiveness. I can’t recommend this gem of a hotel highly enough.

This place is so cute!! We stayed here a few days on our visit to Ireland and loved it. The food is great for breakfast and the rooms are very clean! It is about a 3 minute drive walk to all the shops and restaurants near the beach. The manager helped us carry our bags and was very accommodating. Definitely recommend this hotel!!

Thomas was just the best host, the epitome of Irish hospitality. We worked late and work up extra early to cater to our group of 17 and was such a blessing! Highly suggest!! Truly a family run and special place to spend vacation!
