Sangria Tapas Restaurant in Galway

I really wanted to like this place, so I’ll start by saying I will definitely be giving them a second chance. Service, fantastic. Atmosphere, charming and lively. The food was the downfall of this visit. I ordered the croquetas de yuca (yuca croquettes) and canoa de berenjena (stuffed eggplant canoe). The croquetas were cold on the inside and mildly warm on the outside as though they weren’t fried long enough. Unfortunately didn’t have much flavor but i’m going to chalk that up to not being cooked properly. Stuffed with gorgonzola and topped with a tamarind sauce. The eggplant was ironic because it smelled fantastic, but was surprisingly bland. Stuffed with spicy pork and plantain, topped with Parmesan and what I assume was a balsamic type of sauce. The eggplant was cooked quite well, but the spicy pork had almost no kick to it and the plantain was tough. Again it was like there was no seasoning put into this dish and they relied solely on the ingredients stated above for flavor. All in all I’ll be ordering different dishes the next time I go back because this place comes highly recommended and sometimes places have off nights.

Sunday October 6, 2024 at about 1.30 pm. Very comfortable for 4 people and kind atmosphere. Precious special hospitality by the mexican and guatemalteca kindness. Delicious and very tasty food served in a creative aspect. And a soft American Spanish music in a wonderful surrounding. No reservation. Happy and satisfied. Highly recommended.

Delicious Delicious Delicious! Our food and wine were excellent, the atmosphere was so lovely with attentive service, we would definitely recommend this as a place you must eat at while in Galway.

We arrived at 9pm on a Monday and were greeted by friendly staff who were eager to give wonderful service with a smile. The tapas selection was diverse and delicious. I'm not a seafood person but the stuffed jalapeño peppers with prawn were fantastic. It likely helped that we were there on a Monday night, but the atmosphere was great; dimly lit and quiet with some good Spanish music in the background. The prices are a bit higher than other single-course/meal restaurants but we did decide to spoil ourselves a little. If we weren't tourists in Galway, we would DEFINITELY return.

The girls who served us were very friendly, and the food is delicious. The only bad thing is that they didn't have a variety of soft drinks.

My daughter and I ate here while on a break in Galway. We shared a number of dishes and it was not a great experience. This restaurant is very popular and perhaps if the staff had explained the menu more accurately we would have made different choices.

Lovely amazing latin restaurant. The place is massive. In every corner there is a latin decoration. I like the uniform of the guy who welcomed us at the desk. The food is really amazing. Me and my boyfriend we loved it. really really worthed. We can’t wait to go back. Decorations are super cute, nice atmosphere and in the toilets you can find pads if need. Lovely dinner.
