Fantastic function room and staff! Mark and Eddy are so sound and professional! I went in a few months ago to book the function room upstairs for my party and they explained the whole process and details regarding prices, food, decorations and DJ. Everyone is very welcoming and accommodating; absolute stars. All the staff, particularly barman Ben are so helpful, calm and kind. Love the wood and design of the space, very beautiful and comfortable whether you want to sit and relax or dance the night away. The playlists they have are solid, and they have disco lights they can put on by request. Food platters are delicious, note that platter is split among several plates (handy for a big party tbh!). The upstairs space is split into two areas connected by archways, and was used for two separate parties our night which we didn't even notice honestly. I never had such a big party before and it was a massive hit! Thanks to the team at Scholars for making it a such a seamless and fun experience. Don't hesitate and book your function at Scholars ASAP. Big fan if you cant tell. I will be back for more parties🤣👏

We had a group of 16, the service was excellent. There was a good selection of food choices and all lovely. They had Heineken 00 on tap which was a nice surprise for a non drinker.

Myself my sister and my 2 nephews popped in for lunch i had the joint sandwich and soup, my sister had soup my nephews had pizza and burger, I have to say it was delicious 😋, the soup was just gorgeous im not sure what vegetables were in it but I thoroughly enjoyed it, the beef in the sandwich was so tasty it had a little gravy on it also, we will be back

Scholars Pub serves delicious food at a fair price, and the menu is relatively extensive for a pub. There's also a wide selection of drinks. The atmosphere is inviting, and I'd be happy to return.

Great selection of craft beer. Bar staff where very helpful Killarney IPA only ipa available tonight. Good value at 7.70

Had the breakfast here this morning and I have to say it was excellent and very reasonably priced. Will definitely be calling in again. Spotlessly clean and nice staff
