We need this chippie where I live. Fast, cheap, convenient and very very tasty. Best fish & chips in a very long time. The lady who served us was very accommodating and the nicest. Cod & chips and bread & butter on a bench watching the sea. Wonderful

It's a take away, at the edge of the bay, no consumption on site, we sit on the public benches facing the sea enjoying their very good fish and chips and Burger salad. Good address.

Apparently the best fish & chips in Bray, it's fine for fish but the fries are very thick and not very crispy, too bad... also a pot of sauce is missing to accompany it all! Rather fast service, prices are very affordable for the rest of their products :) just cross the road to eat by the sea!!

Chipmongers

10/07/2025: Ordered for collection, got the signature burger , 1/4lb with cheese and kids meal. The quality was very good and the flavours in signature burger went really well together. Everyone was happy with meal , chips were great too. Good value for money and good banter in the shop .also bought a bottle of the house vinegar , would defo recommend!
07/07/2025: We've been customers for more than ten years. Traditional chips, made from real potatoes. Fresh cod and burgers (I'm taking my mother's word for that as I'm veggie). The veggie burgers are great too. Generous portions too. And a good crew: they deliver on time, and are vigilant (on occasion have called us when we mistakenly ordered too much). Also they don't cancel your order if it's just chips (as others have done). Handy place to pick up your food too if you're passing by as there's usually a parking place outside or across the road in the petrol station.

McDonald's

30/06/2025: Located conveniently near the seafront in the picturesque town of Bray, Co. Wicklow, McDonald’s offers a familiar experience with a few local quirks. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite after a stroll along the promenade or stopping by on a rainy afternoon, this branch provides exactly what most expect from the global fast-food chain—speed, consistency, and affordability. The location itself is one of its stronger points. Being close to both the DART station and Bray beach, it draws in a mix of locals, students, and tourists. It’s a good pitstop, especially if you’re with kids or in need of a fast refuel during your day out. The parking space, however, is limited, and during peak times, the drive-thru can get quite busy and slightly chaotic. Inside, the restaurant is clean and well-maintained, although seating can be limited during rush hours. The layout is compact, and while it isn’t the most spacious McDonald’s, it does its job. The self-service kiosks are a major convenience, making ordering quicker and easier, especially for those who prefer contactless transactions or customization. In terms of food quality, McDonald’s Bray is pretty consistent with the brand’s standard. The fries are usually hot and crispy, and burgers are assembled neatly. The staff generally do a good job keeping up with the rush, though there are occasional delays during weekends or holidays. One plus is that they do tend to keep their McCafé area well stocked and tidy, making it a decent spot for a quiet coffee if you catch it at the right time. The staff are usually friendly and patient, even when under pressure. It’s clear that they deal with a wide variety of customers daily, and they generally handle things well, although service speed can sometimes dip when it’s very busy. Overall, McDonald’s Bray doesn’t offer anything wildly different, but it doesn’t need to. It delivers on what McDonald’s promises—quick food, reliable taste, and affordability. It’s not a gourmet destination, but for what it is, it does a solid job. If you’re in Bray and craving something familiar, this McDonald’s won’t disappoint.
23/05/2025: A truly one-of-a-kind McDonald’s! Housed in Bray Town Hall, a 19th century Tudor building, this restaurant offers a dining experience steeped in history. The exposed wooden beams, stained glass windows and welcoming atmosphere make for an enjoyable meal. Service is prompt and the staff are friendly. A perfect blend of tradition and modernity that is well worth a visit!
