Centrally located hotel with decent sized rooms and fine breakfast. The gym isn’t well equipped though and pool needs to be booked well in advance.

We stayed here for a girl's weekend break recently. The service is exceptional in the hotel and bar, the beds were very comfy and the rooms were ideal for a short break. The location is also perfect for a trip to Cork, everywhere we wanted to go was within walking distance, even for the 7.5 month pregnant lady in our group. There were a couple of slight issues though: 1. The service in Helen's restaurant for afternoon tea and breakfast was haphazard and quite slow - it was friendly and not at all rude but we were left feeling as though we'd been forgotten on a few occasions; 2. I ordered the Mexican breakfast on the first morning there and it was barely lukewarm which made it quite unappetising and put me off ordering a hot breakfast the next morning; 3. The shower gel and shampoo in our room was empty - not very useful when you're actually stood in the shower. Overall though, I would recommend the hotel to people and will also return if I have the opportunity to stay in Cork city again. The people working in the hotel are all very helpful and professional.

We had an amazing stay at the Imperial Hotel in Cork City centre. From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming. Michal at the reception was exceptional—he went above and beyond, giving us access to the lounge even though we arrived an hour before check-in and personally bringing our suitcases to our room. He even brought us coffee to the lounge while we waited, which was a lovely touch. The hotel restaurant was a highlight; we enjoyed breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and the attention to detail and the flavors in every dish were outstanding. Our twin room was clean, comfortable, and made for a relaxing stay. The location was perfect, as it was so close to everything in the city—shops, restaurants, and attractions were just a short walk away. While the hotel doesn’t have parking on-site, it’s just a very short walk away, and it's easy to find. I recommend pulling up outside the hotel first, checking in, and then parking the car. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

Spa is gorgeous, staff were excellent and nothing was too much trouble

Decided to visit their cafe for lunch & had the Linguine with Cod & Scampi. To say I was disappointed was an understatement. Such a large portion of pasta, which was sitting in so much sauce that looked to have split. There wasn't any scampi but brown shrimp. The bowl was unbearable to physically hold or touch, but if you did touch it, you would probably get 3rd degree burns. Definitely, a health & safety issue there. The service was fantastic & Breda was amazing. It was a pleasure being served by her.

Very nice hotel, entrance and rooms are decidedly imperial, the rooms are small but very comfortable, shame about the cleanliness of the bathroom which absolutely needs improvement. The staff is courteous and helpful. The breakfast is worth it, fresh and well prepared food. The location is great.
