Seventy Six on The Mall in Cork

The new Souths,as I knew it, then,decades ago, is amazing! I happened upon a jazz session on a Sunday about 3 weeks ago around 5 pm. The revamp is incredible. They have reintroduced all the original fixtures and leant into the era of the Imperials grand dame reign. Visit!

Very unique hotel and nice rooms with air conditioning. Bed was about 8/10 not too hard but not super soft. The parking is a little bit away from the hotel at the Union Quay Parking garage.. But they have about 40 spots and you can reserve them for about 15 Euro.

Lovely hotel in Cork. The building is a bit older, but they have done a nice job making it nice. We received a much appreciated upgrade and were quite comfortable in the room. The staff were helpful, but the hotel seemed undermanned. It took an hour to receive towels from housekeeping. I finally went down to the front desk after calling twice. The early check in policy is kind of a joke. I have never stayed at a hotel where the room was ready when I arrived, but you had to pay €40 if you wanted to use it. I understand if I wanted a guaranteed early check in, but if the room is ready at 1pm, let me in! Overall, not a bad spot for a couple of nights.

Very professional, clean, and a great location. There are plenty of places to dine and inbibe.

A good decent hotel. Friendly staff, but no telephone in the room for any room service. Clean and tidy.

Centrally located hotel with decent sized rooms and fine breakfast. The gym isn’t well equipped though and pool needs to be booked well in advance.

We stayed here for a girl's weekend break recently. The service is exceptional in the hotel and bar, the beds were very comfy and the rooms were ideal for a short break. The location is also perfect for a trip to Cork, everywhere we wanted to go was within walking distance, even for the 7.5 month pregnant lady in our group. There were a couple of slight issues though: 1. The service in Helen's restaurant for afternoon tea and breakfast was haphazard and quite slow - it was friendly and not at all rude but we were left feeling as though we'd been forgotten on a few occasions; 2. I ordered the Mexican breakfast on the first morning there and it was barely lukewarm which made it quite unappetising and put me off ordering a hot breakfast the next morning; 3. The shower gel and shampoo in our room was empty - not very useful when you're actually stood in the shower. Overall though, I would recommend the hotel to people and will also return if I have the opportunity to stay in Cork city again. The people working in the hotel are all very helpful and professional.
