Me and my boy friend used to like here. Get a quick meal and the price is reasonable for students

Fast service, cheap prices, mediocre quality. If you were drunk, it'd taste 10x better!

The burgers and appetizers were delicious, the place wasn't crowded and we easily found a table. The prices are quite reasonable and the service was good; perhaps the only downside was the amount of smoke from the grills throughout the restaurant, which became a bit overwhelming. Overall, highly recommended if you're craving a burger and don't want to spend a lot.

One of my go-to spots in Cork! Shake Dog never disappoints. The burgers are juicy and full of flavor, and the fries are always crispy and perfectly seasoned. Their milkshakes are hands down the best I’ve had, thick, creamy, and just the right amount of sweetness. The staff are super friendly and always make you feel welcome. Service is fast even when it’s busy, and the place has a fun, relaxed atmosphere. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or sitting down with friends, it’s a great experience every time. Definitely a five-star spot for comfort food lovers!

The menu features well-executed burgers, creamy milkshakes (Oreo, chocolate, etc.), and dishes like chicken tenders and brownies. It also includes vegetarian options and brunch choices, further expanding its appeal. The milkshakes are excellent, and the food maintains consistency in both flavor and presentation. As for service and ambiance, it combines modern decor with efficient service. The staff is friendly and effective, and the place offers a relaxed atmosphere suitable for both couples and groups of friends. It's busy during peak hours, which speaks to its popularity but can also mean moderate wait times on weekends. If you're looking for a quieter experience, it's best to go around lunchtime on weekdays. The prices are fair for the quantity and quality you get. It's not cheap, but it's reasonable for downtown Cork, especially considering the quality of the ingredients and the generous portions. It's worth a visit if you're looking for well-made burgers, outstanding milkshakes, and a contemporary atmosphere. Recommendation: order a milkshake. And if you go on a weekend, arrive early or book in advance if possible to avoid queues.

It's better than competitors in the area but nothing was really standout. Respect for the meal deal, you get some decent food for the price point. However was given the poorest seat in the place where I could barely squeeze behind the table and given a beautiful view of the cleanup station. Also had to ask for cutlery and extra straws cos those paper straws just ain't it and collapse easily.

18/02/2026: Went in here for a quick drink. Had Murphys and a G&T. Prices on par with other pubs in the area and London. They had the 6 Nations game on (Ireland v Italy). Wasn't a loud pub as sometimes you expect with pubs showing sports. Would recommend
16/10/2025: Twas a grey grey day, I was inclined and feeling open, to a creamy drop. I was wearing my trusty dewalts not a scuff in sight. I was feeling strong like a rolled steel joint (RSJ). I had my trusty work friend with me when we happened upon this lovely little battle cruiser (BOOZER). After a Guinness we’re persuaded to have a creamy beamy (beamish). Scrumptious delightful some might say the air was palpable. We necked a few staring at the walls which are nice and talking to the legendary bar man himself. He is a legend. Roy Keane brother often goes to this little joint. At this point I was spinning my work mate was straight on my case he said “ you’ve had a few” I said YOUVE HAD A FEW YOURSELF. We parted ways I’ve never seen him since. I do miss that viscous little man from time to time. Here’s to a great bar.

28/11/2025: I got a burger and chips here. The food was pleasant and the staff very friendly. The Black Market was freezing cold but that is not the fault of the vendor.
