Shearwater Hotel in Ballinasloe

Unfortunately for the management, they had no water due to storm Éowyn. Not a cup of coffee/tea could be had. However, they were distributing free bottles of water. The information as to when the water would return was sketchy. I will return under better circumstances as it would only be fair to give another review.

Second time staying here. Good service and great food. The feather blade beef was top notch 👌 👏. Great venue for pool events.

All hotel facilities were great. Especially we had very delicious dinler in hotels bar in the evening. Thanks a mill

The bathroom smelled of wee. Architrave was rotting around the bathroom door. There was a box of quality street open clearly for some time in the room on arrival, with open packaging and chocolate laying around inside. The beds were clean and fine. The breakfast was poor. The puddings were incredibly dry and overcooked. The pool lighting was half on, going there after dark the pool was very dark and drab. Dinner there was largely ok..starters soup was very nice, as was dessert Mains was meh. But the staff there were friendly. Needless to say I won't be going there again, not recommending to anyone. 3 stars purely based on an ok dinner and friendly staff all round

We had a meal for a large family group, and everything was delicious, the service was good, and everyone was very happy with their meal. The desert medley was gorgeous. Parking was so handy, location was great for walking to shops and things in town, the beds were comfy, and the showers lovely with nice hot water. We stayed for two nights, and the only thing I would say that could be improved is the charging options in the room were not the best. The electrical outlets were often behind pieces of furniture that had to be moved to gain access.

I just got dinner & drinks here, and it was so so nice! The guys at the bar were so friendly and helpful. I got the chicken supreme, and the sauce they put on it was Devine. 👏🏻

Was there for a wedding overnight stay this place is amazing food atmosphere staff all are amazing

I was a guest with a tour group. Rooms all clean and technically ok. The bar at the restaurant is also very attractive with plenty of choice. Breakfast was also good for me (Irish breakfast). Gladly again
