A beautiful hotel in a beautiful setting. One of the best stays we have had in the last few years. The staff went above and beyond too. Recommended.

We stayed 3 nights in early April and had a very nice time. All the staff were friendly and gracious, the rooms were clean and the food was quite good. The grounds were very well kept with nice walking loops. Jesus the concierge helped us out with dinner reservations, checked in with us several times to see how our stay was and was very personable. Jim drove us into town and gave us some tips on travel that were helpful. We did the falcon experience with Patrick which was fun as well horseback riding with Joyce, also very pleasant. 5 stars all around.

Beautiful, relaxed stay. Friendly, helpful staff. The spa was professionally ran and nice and quiet. We had massages and were very happy with the different styles (deep tissue and hot stone) we got. We also went claypigeon shooting with Tim and had irish coffees after. We dined in the more relaxed Stables restaurant and had light bites to eat in the bar during the day. The food was of a high standard. The cocktails were also delicious! The grounds are well maintained around the hotel and there's so much to see and do, if you wish.

Lovely staff and activities onsite . Beautiful location

It's a dream hotel, in a beautiful location, and the staff are fantastic. They made us feel right at home. We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel, which was a great choice, as the food was delicious. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Our English isn't very good, and they immediately found Spanish-speaking staff to give us the information we needed. At reception, the two employees were very kind and helpful. Jaime was absolutely delightful; he made our stay easy and went out of his way to help us. Thank you so much, Jaime, and I also want to thank the waiters in Marbella and the lovely waitress at dinner.

Updated- the management acknowledged the issues and agreed that the suites are due for renovation. They comped our food during the day and were receptive of our comments. —————— The best way to describe this hotel is old, tired and uninspiring. It’s past its prime which is clear from the moment you walk in. We booked a view suite for $1100/nt and it was stale, smelly and musty. When asked to change, the manger asked if wanted to upgrade for a charge. Funny enough the our suite on their website today for $480, and the next level for $550. We had already paid $1100 for the same so declined to pay anymore so the manager moved us down one level to a non-view suite with similar old grandma furniture but thankfully without the musty smell. The bathroom, while seemingly updated, has water drain issues and the sink tap does not hold in place. The one dinner we had at The Stable restaurant was just as dull as the hotel. The cappuccino at the bar was listless. Overall, a terrible value, mediocre stay, and a rare disappointment from the relais chateau chain. DO NOT RECOMMEND and never coming back again.
