Shells Cafe in Strandhill

Food was excellent, portion size was on the small side (chips)(we got a takeaway) but couldn't fault it

Hanna R. Was a Star! What a great server. I went in for breakfast it was my first experience here at this place, I ordered eggs Royale, it was absolutely delicious such great flavour. It was busy and hopping with lots of people but Hannah never failed to make sure we had service that we needed and were really taking care of. Our Hanna is tall and beautiful with highlights in her hair and a sunny disposition. I have lived in Sligo now for two years I don’t know why it took me so long to get over here and enjoy the food at this cosy diner but it certainly won’t be my last! Highly recommend. Also our Hannah needs a Pay rise! She is solid gold

Always love eating here when I'm home. Right on the sea front. Great food at a reasonable price. Lovely staff too.

Nice place for a quick tea and snack!

I really enjoy shells, we came across them accidentally and have been coming regularly. Unfortunately we feel unwelcome every due to how busy it is but you can live with this as it's a tourist destination however the final straw for us was queuing for 15 minutes, ordering, pay, sit-down and then to be then told sorry breakfast is now over (take away this time, 2 people). It may seem harsh leaving this comment but this has happened 3 times. Foods great, the service not so good. (solution would be last orders for breakfast or inform people at the back of the queue)
