Perhaps the best hotel in all of Ireland! Centrally located, excellent restaurant, spa and other amenities and adjacent to the shopping center. But it is the staff that elevate it above all else. Joe greets people by name with a cheerful smile, Roisin works like a champ, just to name a few.

The rooms are brown but they are clean and the service is excellent. The hotel itself needs an update but the staff and hospitality are exceptional. Food is very good. The whole experience was relaxing.

Myself and my partner are just back from an amazing 2 night stay at the Sheraton Hotel and what an amazing time we had, this hotel was absolutely stunning, staff were so accommodating and so friendly, food was amazing, the friendliest and warmest atmosphere, we can not wait to go back, beds were so comfortable, hygiene was impeccable, we could not fault this hotel at all. One of the best hotels we have ever stayed in and the location was spectacular. Thank you to all the wonderful staff for an amazing experience, see you all very soon.

Excellent stay again, beds were very comfortable, so were the pillows. Triona, at reception, checked us in and was particularly friendly and helpful I must say. An extra coffee machine would be needed at breakfast area. Long wait when machine breaks down or needs a little clean. Not the first time I noticed that. It wasn't even a busy morning. Thank you.

Spice India

15/10/2026: Best butter chicken in the country...
13/10/2026: Absolutely loved our experience here! The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Even though we arrived right at closing time, they were kind enough to accommodate us, which we really appreciated. The food was simple, delicious, and incredibly fresh! 😍 Also, the menu posted here doesn’t seem to reflect the actual menu — they have a much bigger selection with quite a few varieties to choose from. A definite must-try if you’re craving authentic Indian food in Athlone! Highly recommend this place for the amazing food and warm hospitality.

Savoury Fare

01/10/2026: Lovely place. Great staff and delicious food. Maria served us today. Excellent service, kind and attentive. Gold star staff member in my opinion
22/07/2026: This place is perfect for breakfast or lunch. The food is fantastic. I asked for a delicious BLT and it came with salad and crisp also asked for dasher (panini with turkey bacon cranberry mayo and Brie cheese) and was amazing taste. And finally the carrot cake one of the best dessert in all town. The prices and the service was great. I also Highly recommend this place to crab a coffee with a good dessert.
