Shoe Lane Coffee in Dublin

After having visited 5 or so of the coffee shops on this list, I'd rank Shoe Lane the best. The coffee and service were great. They also have a drop coffee available. It has a cozy, quaint feel. The only challenge for the owners is that, while it is close to the main tourist core of Dublin, it is not on a main walking path so doesn't get as much spontaneous foot traffic as other coffee shops.

Great coffee, gorgeous and tasty pastries and the staff is lovely. The atmosphere is really nice, definitely worth visiting.

Shoe Lane Coffee is a convenient stop for a quick coffee, but it’s a little pricey and the cappuccinos are average. I ordered an 8 oz (medium) cappuccino, it did the job—and it wasn’t bad—but it wasn’t anything to write home about. I felt it was a bit small for the price. The service was quick and the line of customers moved fast. There was a steady stream of people in and out of the shop. Seating is limited, so finding a table at a busy time might be tricky. I believe they offered pastries. I probably wouldn’t indulge and would instead find a bakery nearby. All in all, a solid experience, but not the best cappuccino in Dublin. Who cares though—not every coffee can be the best, and this cup certainly wasn’t the worst. If you’re on a budget, I would go somewhere cheaper because the experience will be about the same.

I had such a lovely time while I was at shoe Lane! Evie the barista at the time was so kind, helpful and made us feel at home! Highly recommend this place for their friendly staff and exceptional service!
