Siam Thai in Malahide

I’ve been here many times and the food is generally quite good. However, I’ve visited twice in the past month and unfortunately the service was poor on both occasions. It’s a shame, as this used to be a place I enjoyed coming back to.

We dropped in late on Monday evening. Despite being a regular in Malahide I had never eaten here before but had heard a lot of good things about it. I was with my partner and another couple, Friends from the US whom I was excited to experience with. The food was very good and the decor fabulous but the biggest let down which we all commented on was the attitude of the staff. The restaurant was almost empty being a Monday night but it was almost as if the staff wanted us gone so they could go home. Altogether it was a very disappointing evening and one which will prevent me from going back. It isn't the atmosphere I expect, especially when spending that kind of money.

Great place for authentic Thai. Chicken satay peanut sauce was exquisite. Duck cooked to perfection and all the curry dishes are great.

This restaurant offers a great gluten free selection for coeliacs.

Delicious food! Very clear and thorough allergen menu for me and my partner who is coeliac. They used new oil for his food to avoid cross contamination.

You ever walk into a place and think, “Right, this’ll do me nicely”? That’s Siam Thai. Warm lights, good smells, and not a single person trying to sell you quinoa. You sit down, and before you know it, someone’s topping up your glass like they’ve known you all your life. That’s service — not the sort that bows and scrapes, just the sort that gets it right. Now, the food. I’ve had curries that could strip paint off a wall, but this lot know what they’re doing. Bit of heat, bit of sweetness, all balanced like a man who’s learned from his mistakes. You finish your plate and you don’t feel guilty — you feel quietly smug. Like you’ve made a good decision for once. And the atmosphere? It’s lively but not loud. You could bring your mates, your mam, or someone you’re trying to impress — and none of them would complain. That’s rare these days. Most places either blind you with neon or make you whisper like you’re in confession. So, if you’re after a proper meal, a bit of craic, and a night that doesn’t end with regret, go to Siam Thai. You’ll walk out thinking, “I could get used to this.” And you probably will.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely fantastic Thai food at Siam Thai Restaurant in Malahide. The food was delicious, fresh and full of flavour, with a great selection of authentic Thai dishes. The service was excellent too friendly, attentive and welcoming from the moment we arrived. Being a Thai family, we know good Thai food when we find it, and this certainly didn’t disappoint! 🇹🇭 Lovely atmosphere, great service and excellent food. We will definitely be returning and would highly recommend Siam Thai to anyone looking for a great Thai restaurant in Malahide. 5 stars all round! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Went yesterday with my child and we really enjoyed our food. We ordered a two starters, two mains and some dessert 🍨. The food was well presented,so tasty and plenty on the plates. The girls looking after us Maria and Andrea was so nice,polite and makes us feeling very welcome. Definitely we will be back again. Highly recommend this place to everyone visiting Malahide. Thank you so much for your hospitality ♥️♥️♥️

Had a fantastic time in Siam Malahide, the food was phenomenal, alongside great service and great drinks, couldn’t ask for a better experience. Maria was excellent as well, great host and made us feel so welcome, 10/10 would go again
