Skellys Bar in Ballymahon

We called into Skellys en route to CenterParcs to have a bite to eat before we checked in as we knew the restaurants in CenterParcs would be crazy busy. The food was really excellent and really good value. My husband said the Guinness was "on point"!

Nice friendly bar with real log fires , the food looked good but I had aready eaten so didn’t try it. The Guinness was good and I felt welcome.

Recently stayed in Skelly's for 2 nights with our French Bulldog. We were made feel very welcome by Pat, Séamas and the wonderful staff, nothing was a problem and they couldn't do enough for us. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. As dog owners Skellys was ideal for us they have dog friendly rooms and there are lovely walks nearby on the river and on the canal. We were able to have the dog with us in the pub at all times and everybody was very friendly. We had a meal there on both nights, I had stir fried prawns on the first night and a steak sandwich on the second, both were delicious and they have a lovely wine menu to choose from. We also had breakfast and lunch which were very tasty. Big thank you to Pat, Seámas, and all the family and staff we will definitely be back 🐾🐾❤️

What a great place. Pat , Seamus and all the staff were very friendly, welcoming and attentive during our two night very recent stay. The food was fabulous in quantity and quality and very reasonably priced. The bar generated a friendly and very warm atmosphere, and if you are in the area, it is a must visit place. We look forward to returning in the future. The rooms are very clean and tidy, and yes, they were undergoing a refurbishment during our stay, but that didn't stop us from having a great time. The owner was very kind and accommodating, I had a wonderful time here with my boyfriend and I enjoyed the little market the following morning too. If I go to visit Ballymahon again and I'll be staying here. the price includes breakfast and a lovely charming pub. Great service and great atmosphere.

Booked this to attend a BBQ that was on the site and meet some friends who live local. It was initially booked out but Seamas squeezed us in last minute. Service was great and was more like staying in a friends house than a guest house. Will Definitely return if only to sample the local brew.

Travelling from Australia from Dublin to Galway. We popped in for a quick lunch and the hospitality and meals were amazing. Was welcomed by the publican. Lovely man and great staff. Thankyou.
