Sli Dala Restaurant in Kinnitty

The castle and hostess, Elizabeth are very good! The room was phenomenal. The service other than Elizabeth? Meh, at best. I had to request confirmation of reservations. The confirmation gave the 'package' name, but not details. When we arrived, the 'package' was removed from the website, but remained on my reservation and their facebook page. My package included dinner in the Sli Dala restaurant and a full breakfast. Upon arrival, Elizabeth did not see that we had the package and asked to see my confirmation. She admitted the conf should have detailed everything and I showed her the package on FB. They honored it, although FB added a bottle of wine, which they also added. Sli Dala Restaurant was closed the night we visited, so we ate in the Dungeon Bar. I had brought a suit to wear to dinner, but since more formal dining was not available, had to nix that. After our waitress served the wine, she made a point to avoid our table for whatever reason we do not know (we were very polite to her and did not speak of the issue w/reservation). She would not bring our food or make eye contact as she passed outside of voice range. We had to ask for help from other wait staff the rest of the meal, including waiting 20 minutes to order dessert after we finished our meal because we could not get service. Classy looking place iwth great food, but the service is amateurish, at best.

I will never, ever tire of Kinnity. I fell in love with this castle ten years ago when I attended a wedding and every time I come back, I fall in love a little bit more. Please treat yourself and book in. You'll discover it all for yourself.

Kinnity castle was a joy to stay in,pity the navigation system wasn't as good for some reason or other it wanted me to take minor roads instead of the direct route I'm lucky I had an old fashion map to help me. Pat Kennedy.

Incredible castle and rooms for a very affordable price. Staff was very helpful, and breakfast included was amazing! We loved adding on some activities such as the afternoon tea and archery. They have horseback riding as well. Peaceful location and onsite restaurant as well.

Beautiful location, quiet and peaceful atmosphere

Huge rooms if staying in main building. Bathroom as big as a NYC apartment. Can't speak to annex rooms around courtyard. Great service and did breakfast, afternoon tea, and dinner at both restaurants. Will definitely stay again next trip to central Ireland. Only $500 for both nights on a weekend which was great!

Beautiful castle in remote surroundings. Very beautiful outside, clean nice rooms and a fun experience. Spent 1 night here for a wedding. Fantastic food, fantastic entertainment (the chef) and great premises. They have preserved the old. Great to experience such a place in our time 🤩

The castle hotel was good. There were a couple of issues with our room that we notified about when we checked out.
