Lovely food in the dungeon bar. Would recommend!

Really nice authentic castle, lovely staff, good food and a great breakfast.

For a drink, yes. To sleep there, never again. The facade and the ground floor of the castle are magnificent, the lounges were decorated for Christmas, which gave a warm atmosphere, the restaurant is correct from a quality/price point of view Unfortunately, the standard room is really not up to the asking price and the services that one can expect from a 4* hotel: the furniture is old, without charm and worn, the mattress has outlived its usefulness, the finishes level of painting/embellishments are not great and above all: WE HEAR EVERYTHING. And when I say everything, that's everything: the people running in the hallway at 2:30 a.m. talking loudly, the man who calls until 3 a.m. in the next room etc. So, to summarize, your sleep depends on the level of politeness and good manners of your neighbors 🙃 A word to the wise!

Fabulous old Castle from 13th century,staff excellent, beautiful setting.

Did not stay here ( just had a bite to eat) but I will be back to stay .. Amazing original architecture , in an amazing setting .. you can chill out and relax and take it all in , or go out on one of the walking trails set out in the woods and base of Slieve Bloom mountains ( perfect escape from it all)

My afternoon tea was pure Christmas magic! It felt like stepping into a storybook. The food was fabulous—scones, gingerbread cookies, macarons, and the best millionaire bars I've ever had... simply perfect. My heartfelt thanks to the chef and the entire kitchen team for making the day unforgettable, and to Conor and Desmond for their warmth and hospitality

Very nice hotel with Library. Just add a jacuzzi and sauna on the river bank to be exceptional. Another issue is that the hot water was barely warm in the morning.

Can’t speak for the rooms but was working as an external supplier at a wedding tonight in Kinnity Castle Hotel. Arrived on site early and had a bite to eat in the Dungeon bar, good food and great service. Ran into a spot of bother when my car wouldn’t start once I was about to head home but thankfully the team had at the hotel came to my aid, I’ll be forever grateful 🙏 will highly recommend

The castle itself is stunning to look at. Upon check in it was a bit confusing and they tried giving us the wrong room. Once we pointed out it was the wrong room we had to wait for the correct room to be ready. Reception didn’t explain things very well in terms of when and why we had to schedule dining. Once we got our room it had an old musty smell to it. The room looked nice and was comfortable however, the walls are paper thin. We could hear everything in the next room and the room above us. I do mean EVERYTHING! Dinner in the dungeon was great and the staff were really good. We wanted to go have drinks in the library but the bar tender was MIA. All in all it was OK but not at all the evening we wanted.

Stopped for refreshments. Tired old place. Needs some TLC. Saddest thing was the fire.
