🌻SOLAS Eco Garden Centre Portarlington in Portarlington

Super quirky… delighted we stumbled upon the place… garden centre, little coffee shop, went for the car boot sale, stayed for the atmosphere over at the coffee shop!

I’ve been here a couple of times. They have a great garden centre and the staff are very knowledgeable. There is plenty of flowers and plants as well as some fruit trees and bushes to choose from. The cafe is nice we’ve eaten there a couple of times the pizza is quite good and my kids love the ice creams 🍦 they also have a milk station outside where you can get fresh milk with a range of flavours such as kinder bueno , banana , Dubai chocolate and salted caramel to name a few . The indoor shop is amazing also I have bought a range of things there from seeds to early potatoes , pots , gloves , and most recently a pollytunnel and raised beds . I find the pricing is quite good and there’s always some great deals on I got raised beds this morning for €20 each which is the cheapest I’ve seen around . There’s plenty of walking and looking around to do even on a rainy day as everything is sheltered all in all a great place I would highly recommend coming here whether it’s to grab a bite to eat or get a few gardening bits 😊

Love to go there but every visit seems to have a few less options available, be either in the garden centre or at the single food court option.

Ventured out to the Hawaiian day at Solas today! Had the most divine pineapple and bacon burgers after strolling around the garden centre! Such a cute play space for the kids too, my boys could be their wild selves 😊 This was our second visit and we will definitely be back!

I recently visited this place while looking for vintage items, and I really liked it. Inside, there’s a shop called Studio Serotonin that sells vintage furniture and home decor. There are also several stands with unique products, plus beautiful flowers and plants. The atmosphere is nice, and I found some great pieces. I definitely recommend visiting if you enjoy vintage shopping and want to add some nice plants to your garden.

Good centre for garden bits etc. Lovely little restaurant to sit and eat. Nice day out.

I have purchased many plants and garden accessories here. The cafe is lovely and pet friendly with indoor and outdoor seating. Have only had lunch there and can say the food is good quality and tasty.

Nice place. Plenty of parking. If you are a collector in Irish history, this is a great place. It is pricey though. They have a cafe too but also over priced. Relaxing ro walk around. Lots of plant seeds and gardening supplies. Eco friendly produce. Worth a visit.

This place gets better and better. We are so lucky to have this on our doorstep. The selection of food is great and the prices are very fair. Staff are brilliant, they really appreciate the custom. These customers have issues with themselves that no way should reflect on the hard work the owners and staff have put into this business. Thank you.
