I ordered a flat white — great quality and delicious! My battery was almost dead, and they even let you charge your phone while you enjoy your coffee. Such a nice touch!

Ideal spot for coffee, it's quite good. My favorite is the matcha with soy milk, which is delicious, and they have perfect sweets to go with it. I highly recommend going!

One of the nicest flat whites I’ve ever had! Service is great, the staff are all very friendly and helpful, the coffee itself is amazing (so much so I’ve flown over from the UK to get it again). Reasonable price for the quality of drink, well worth trying the flat white / hot chocolate - both were particularly great!

One of my favourite coffee shops in Cork. I’ve visited many times, and the staff are always so kind and helpful. They also have three excellent gluten-free bakes options for coeliac customers.
Their new Kenya Lot 20 cold brew is probably the best I’ve had: smooth and slightly sweet, with a pleasant coffee bitterness but very little acidity. Definitely picking up a bag of the beans soon.
The new Miraflores cold brew is also excellent, with subtle honey notes and a really smooth, balanced body.
Their flat white is arguably one of the best I’ve had in a long time milk being perfect smooth creamy texture and still have the strength of the coffee.
My favourite duo is the peanut butter brownie, which pairs perfectly with a medium white.
They offer a great range of coffees and brewing methods, and it’s a lovely place to meet friends, study, or go on a coffee date. Highly recommended if you’re in Cork.

I don’t know if they’re all having a bad day but the staff are absolutely miserable. Could barely speak or look at me. Coffee and brownie were good but its ruins your palate when served with such rudeness.

I was here on the 27th of June and I wanted to know about the specialty beans they had, and the guy with the ponytail and the nice glasses was really knowledgeable and friendly. He explained the roasting process and recommended me the Colombian beans based on my taste. I am totally recommending this place when my friends come to visit Ireland.

Firstly amazing coffee with amazing friendly staff but we already knew this.
This is perhaps the only business I’ve seen with a proper accessible bathroom. The red cord not only isn’t hidden away or tied up out of reach, but goes directly to the floor with about a foot of extra cord to grab if needed. The facilities were spotless including all of the grab bars.
The seating area inside and out was also gorgeous and clean.
Also not really a big deal but I love that their ice coffee cups have a spot for a straw and an opening to sip out of

SOMA was our final planned café stop in Cork, and given the strong reviews, we arrived with fairly high expectations.
I'll admit that seeing multiple locations initially made me assume it was more of a commercial coffee chain, which usually lowers my expectations a little. In reality, it feels much more like a small specialty coffee group that has simply expanded successfully.
We visited on a weekend afternoon and it wasn't overly busy. A few of us grabbed takeaway coffees, and I went for an iced black Americano. The coffee was well made and clean in profile, leaning more towards bitterness than acidity. There wasn't much in the way of fruit or citrus notes, and on a warmer day I think it might have felt a little heavy for my personal preference, but it was still an enjoyable cup.
We also picked up some protein balls. Fair play for offering healthier snack options, but let's be honest, protein balls rarely win any awards for flavour and these weren't the exception.
Service was probably the weakest part of the visit. The team came across a little cold and transactional, although it was only a brief interaction so I wouldn't read too much into it.
One thing I really liked about this location was the setup. It's clearly very laptop friendly, with plenty of seating and lots of people working away on their computers. If I lived in Cork, I could easily see this becoming one of my regular work cafés.
Overall, a solid specialty coffee spot with a good setup, competent coffee, and a space that encourages people to stay awhile. Not quite my favourite café in Cork, but definitely one I'd happily visit again.
