Sonflour, a wonderful surprise! The restaurant has few tables in order to guarantee a 5-star service and experience! Congratulations to the chefs last night, with their friendliness and their extraordinary cuisine worthy of a Restaurant with a capital R. The gem? Everything vegetarian or vegan! Recommended for any person regardless of diet, so omnivores and carnivores go and try it! Thanks for the nice dinner you gave us :)

My girlfriend and I come here on special occasions, and the night before either of us have to leave the county for exceptional periods of time. It is both bitter sweet and glorious due to this. Sometimes there's even pets allowed in. I love you, Sonflour. Thank you for the venue, but also thank you for the changing of menus, flavours, textures but the consistency of the service. The prior three mean nothing without the latter aspect. We've had an Occasional Dinner in every season this year and didn't have anything close to a complaint in any. By far my/our favourite place to eat in Cork City. Big love ❤️.

Soulful Italian food unlike any other around. What sets it apart is how they are able to get out so much flavor out of the select few ingredients in each recipe without being bland. The Truffle Garlic Bread among starters is a must try. Among the mains, I would personally recommend the Ravioli which has a subtle sweetness or opt for one of the specials. I miss the vegan Tiramisu from the dessert menu. Staff are courteous and explain the changing menu. Only complaint would be that the chairs can be a bit uncomfortable. Lastly don't forget to book in advance!

UPDATE: After two years, I need to provide an update. We visited Sonflour at least four times since then, and the food has improved significantly. However, I must mention that the service can be quite disappointing. Each visit felt rushed and lacking warmth. For instance, during our last visit (last night), the waitress asked if we wanted dessert, which we declined. Within two minutes, she returned with the bill and slapped it on the table. We hadn’t requested it and might have wanted coffee or tea; we were there for only 45 minutes, not two hours. And this is just one example among others. We are not picky when it comes to service; we understand that it’s a very difficult profession. However, certain things are unacceptable. This type of service feels more like a café or lunch spot than a proper dinner restaurant. I wonder if this is due to a lack of management. We might come back, but only for lunch. —————— Great restaurant and staff, lovely and cozy atmosphere. The food and wine were amazing. Definitely a plus that the menu is full vegan/vegetarian, well done guys. (The only improvement I’d suggest would be to have slightly bigger portions. It’s not a huge issue but could be a nice improvement 🙂) We’ll definitely come back soon!

We went for dinner and we really loved the place, the service was very good and the food even better. The two cooks were very nice and gave us recommendations on what we could order according to our tastes since it was our first time here and the truth is that everything looked very delicious. It's nice to find a place with so many vegan options that it makes it difficult to choose which one to choose :) we will definitely return to try the other options on the menu 😋

Had the squash pizza which was a revelation. Service was super quick and the staff were very friendly. The atmosphere was cosy and had some great music playing. Will go again the next time we're in cork

Food: excellent food. Love the textures and taste for each of the food items we ordered. The main course has vegan options and we were delighted with the taste of each food item we ordered. Their vegan desserts are absolutely delicious. Service: super friendly Atmosphere: loved the vibe of the restaurant. Super cozy and relaxed ambiance.

Excellent vegetarian restaurant located in the centre. The place is really welcoming and well furnished. The pleasant atmosphere is the backdrop to excellent vegetarian dishes, well presented and of excellent quality. The selection of wines available is also very good. A beautiful discovery. Highly recommended.
