This is a nice upscale bar with good drinks and beer options. It is not in any way an Irish bar, just FYI.

Amazing Service and tasty food The service was really friendly. Jess was the waiter, wow!! She is lovely and excellent. Food: Very tasty and fresh. Vine menu: Good options. I went in there many times and I always have the best experience. Plus: The view on the rooftop is stunning. I really recommend this place in Galway for a great time with friends or a romantic dinner.

Great location, great view when not dark and raining. Pretty good space between tables. Food was really nice, pricing was ok, it is on the more expensive side of ok, still ok. Not all the wines by the glass were available. When I called to book a table was told 7pm was really busy, but after some hesitation I was booked in. Arrived and no record of the booking, not an issue as it was not busy and 2.5 hours later when we left, there were still plenty of free tables. The we are really busy when not thing - not cool. Service was a little hit and miss. First table we were sat at had food bits all over the seat, clearly there and messy. So we sat at the next table. Had to grab the attention of the waiter to order mains, a second drink and get dessert menu. Just felt a little like chasing for attention for the normal things needed in a restaurant. I have been before and would happily go back. Service just needs a little polish when mains are around 28 to 39 euros.

Absolutely amazing restaurant. The food was amazing. The atmosphere was amazing. The highlight of the whole experience was our server Taylor who was so friendly, professional and even had a great wine recommendation. Absolutely made our evening! I'll be back for the food but I'll be checking if taylor is on duty. ♥️

Just as wonderful as the Dublin Location. Absolutely loved the breakfasts and the service was excellent. Fresh ingredients, amazing presentation, and lovely drinks. Many say that the best fry ups are in mom and pop places. I beg to differ, as Sofie'a does a bang up job. Can't wait to go back!

We came here 26.12.24 on our anniversary. We were looking for something with a nice view and ambience with good food, and Sophie’s did not disappoint we were welcomed by the lovely Rebecca at the front and seated quickly with a beautiful table overlooking the Galway skyline at night. The gentleman serving us, possibly French, was very attentive serving us and friendly! I had the duck salad to start (so tasty!) and sea bass afterwards followed by dessert, they even surprised us during dessert with a little extra icecream with a little message on it. Such a nice touch. Drinks were superb and we can’t wait to come back again for another visit. Thank you Sophie’s! :)
