Sophie's in Dublin

I didn't know this place existed in the Dean, nice atmosphere, nice layout, staff were friendly and efficient, a nice selection of food. Pricey, but normal for dublin. It lost marks for me as myself and my friend ordered 2 jameson and ginger ale. The whiskey was definitely watered down, I could barely taste the whiskey. This was the same with both of them. My other friends ordered cocktails and there was more ice than anything. So, food was great, drinks not so great, probably won't go there again because of this or if i do I will order beer.

I went there for dinner and the place was pretty full (we had a reservation, I recommend doing the same). We were sat quickly and the service was very good. I had the calamari as an appetiser and it was the perfect start to my meal. As the main I ate the gnoccetini with red pesto and this was the best thing I ate there. I recommend trying it for yourself ! They also make a good amount of drinks.

Great place for lunch or dinner. The service is excellent and very professional. Great selection of dishes and wine. The food is very tasty and delicious. We visited yesterday for dinner and left feeling a bit disappointed. While the ambiance and plating were very nice, almost every dish we tried had a very similar tomato-forward flavour. The pizza itself was good, but the experience was mixed due to the service. Although the waitress was polite on the surface, we felt uncomfortable when we asked whether there were pizza options with alternative meats besides pork and when we chose not to order drinks, it felt as though we were being looked down on for those choices. A kinder attitude would have made a big difference. On a positive note, the waiter who brought out our dishes was excellent genuinely friendly, super polite, and made us feel at ease.

It was perfect 👌 The staff was amazing 👍 We had two pizzas which were excellent. And the atmosphere is great ☺️

Very nice food. Had brunch. It was very quiet when we arrived... 10.15. Plenty of seating available to was sat on a table for 2. Another couple came in amd were seated DIRECTLY next to each which we all found slightly awkward despite there being 12 other table for 2s along. But staff were nice enough and the food was good.

Had the most amazing evening here. Aga was our waitress and she was absolutely fabulous! She was so attentive and remembered our order perfectly and kept checking in on us all night. My biggest pet peeve in a restaurant is someone who takes plates away before everyone at the table has finished eating and Aga was so lovely she only came to the table for plates when it was clear we had all finished and double checked we all had. I absolutely would recommend a night here for couples, friends or work colleagues 🙂 thank you so much for a great night!!!! 5 ⭐️ service!!!!!

The place is quite nice and the food is tasty. The portions aren’t very large, but they’re fine
