We experienced Ennis' popular bakery and cafe. Drinks are served "Starbucks style" where your name is called. Unfortunately, probably because I visited late (around 1:00 p.m.), there were quite a few types of bread. Also, the inside of the store was quite crowded, and it was a little disappointing that it was difficult to distinguish between the lines waiting for drinks and those waiting for orders.
It tastes good and it's no wonder it's popular with locals. We recommend visiting in the morning.
Slightly in an odd area but as it has such amazing reviews I decided to go out of my way as I do love a good bakery.
It was very busy which is a good sign, the goods are baked in-house too.
Well worth the trip as the food was outstanding.
The pictures of the food speak for itself 🤤

I edited my review because a lot has changed, they redecorated and now there's more space to stand in line, though still hardly a place to sit down, unless the weather is well enough for sitting outside. It also seems to be better managed, since the pastries selection is wider and is still offered by noon, in the past they used to run out of the best items by noon.
This is definitely the best bakery in Ennis, maybe in all of Clare county.
Extremely good bread and morning pastries. Their cinnamon knot is perfection. The focaccia sandwiches (I like the vegetarian and the vegan, they're excellent!) are recommended, so rustic and flavourful, though the ones I bought today were a bit drier than I remembered, whoever made them was a little cheap with the spreads.

One of the best bakeries in the country. I’m a regular customer and glad to see Keith pioneering actual good food in Ennis.

New layout for coffee machine is not good as it's just inside the entrance door and people are standing there.

Small, excellent bakery. Quite busy on a Saturday morning but service is quick and friendly and the pastries are gorgeous. The coffee is quite good, too!

So good. It’s actually a little annoying because now I want all pastries to be as good as what’s on offer in Sourdo and they are not.

To be honest the pastry is not great. We had maple pecan, pear almond and brioche and the dough was average not flaky not buttery - i have comparison to angel dust pastry in limerick, and compared with their crossaint which is flaky and buttery- this is simply not good enough. Eaten it all but not worth returning
