Just love this little slice of paradise in the heart of Dublin city. Food was exceptional and service was excellent. Great place for friends and family to meet up and eat great food while relaxing in really chilled atmosphere. Also great for couples who just want a chill night with excellent food and service. Favourite dishes chicken burger, bruschetta and the pasta the Caesar salad is also fab xxx

I used to come here when they did breakfast items primarily but never tried the new bistro menu. It is lovely! Nice, quick lunch and the same friendly staff

We dropped in for food last Saturday after I had seen some Instagram posts the previous day. Upon arrival the place looked great, it was bright a very tastefully decorated. We were greeted by a young girl who showed us to a table and gave us menus. I was absolutely blown away with the amount of different dishes on the menu. This is the menu of a very large restaurant not a bistro. Anyway we settled on the fillet steak and seabass fillets with king prawns, both with garlic potatoes, veg and a sauce. Firstly the steak which i asked to be cooked medium. It was thin slices of steak which were not of good quality and very overcooked. Stringy and very dried out and not seasoned at all. In fact there was no seasoning on any element on either plate. My steak came with small roasted potatoes which were supposed to be garlic potatoes but were tasteless and hard. The sautéed veg and pepper sauce were nice. Secondly the Seabass and king prawn dish. Herself was 5 min into it before she realised there was no prawns on the plate which she reported to the server who offered to have some cooked and brought out. She declined as this would have been at the end of our meal. The manager came over and apologised and again offered to bring some prawns out, again we declined the offer politely. Just as we finished our meal the manager brought over 4 prawns on a small plate, stating that the chef cooked them because he was embarrassed. Again the fish dish was advertised with garlic potatoes but came with the same tasteless, hard roast potatoes. Asked by the manager if I would like a coffee or dessert I ordered the Pecan Pie and a Cappuccino. I received the pie with an Americano. At this stage we were the only customers in the room and still the order was wrong. This was not a cheap meal as the two mains with one dessert, a coffee and one glass of wine came to €84 so I was very disappointed with the quality of almost everything on the plates. There wasn't even the offer to discount the dessert from the bill which would be the norm. Overall impression, it is a really nice place and a family business which employs local people and says it has a wealth of experience in the hospitality industry. The menu is aspirational for a restaurant let alone a bistro but you will not survive with those prices for that level of cooking. Seasoning food properly or at all is basic chef rules. Would I return or recommend... no I am sorry to say I wouldn't do either.

I booked here for 7PM on Saturday for myself and my partner. We had a great time from the moment we walked in, until we left for our cinema showing at the nearby lighthouse cinema. I ordered the striploin steak which was cooked perfectly (medium rare) and the side portion of home made chips had the perfect texture. My partner ordered the penne arriabata, her favourite pasta and really enjoyed it saying the flavours were perfectly balanced. An overall great experience and I look forward to returning in the near future.

The food was good. The service was friendly. It wasn't crowded the day we were there. A nice place near the Guinness Storehouse.

Di Luca

27/01/2026: A very enjoyable little restaurant off the beaten track. The service is very friendly and there is a good selection of dishes, including a wide variety of pasta dishes. The food was hot, fresh, and tasty. Grazie. A charming and discreet little restaurant. The service is very welcoming and the menu offers a wide selection of dishes, especially pasta. The dishes were hot, fresh, and tasty. Grazie.
26/01/2026: This was our third visit to Di Luca, and it was by far the best experience yet. The staff were exceptionally kind and attentive, with Jose and Miguel creating a wonderfully warm atmosphere through their genuine smiles and welcoming personalities. We truly appreciated the attention to detail—especially the care taken with our dietary restrictions—and the thoughtful effort to make our anniversary celebration feel special. Thank you Miguel and Jose and to the chef behind the scenes.
