Good food and good ambiance, butter milk was fulfilling

I had a disappointing experience with customer service at Spice India Athlone while placing a takeaway order. Once the customer in front of me was served, my presence at the counter was completely ignored. When I was about to place my order, the lady at the takeaway counter abruptly said “one minute” and immediately started taking a phone order, without any eye contact, acknowledgement, or polite request to wait. I would like to clearly state that I was not expecting her to attend to me before the phone order. I was absolutely ready to wait. However, there is a proper and respectful way staff should communicate this to a customer who is standing in the queue. A simple gesture, smile, or polite request would have been enough. The restaurant was not busy at the time (around 6 pm), so there was no justification for this dismissive behaviour. Instead, I was made to feel ignored and unwelcome. Only when another staff member stepped in was my order finally taken. I would like to specifically mention that the male staff member who assisted me was friendly, polite, and professional. His behaviour clearly showed that good customer service is possible at this establishment. While the food itself was acceptable, the customer service experience was not.

Amazing experience altogether. Best Gobi Manchurian in Ireland. Shravani was very kind, attentive, and made us feel truly welcome. Excellent food and service — highly recommended!

Great service and very friendly staff

Really appreciate the service of Mr .Shreekar very much and I thank him for arranging little surprise for my husband on his bday.

I had the buffet today it was very delicious. The waiter keara was also very helpful

On the whole, very impressed with my first meal in Athlone which I chose to have at Spice India. Very happy with food, not sure I've had bhajis that crispy before, but tasted very nice, and the main Saag Paneer was delicious.Service very good, albeit took a bit long for the main to arrive, but like I said, it was delicious. We celebrated our son’s birthday at this restaurant and had such a fantastic experience. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the staff were incredibly friendly from the moment we walked in. They went out of their way to make the occasion special by playing songs from our playlist, and the service was attentive without ever feeling rushed. The food was delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented. Everyone at the table enjoyed their meals, and our son felt truly celebrated. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to spend his special day. Highly recommended for both everyday meals and special occasions! 🎉
