The moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warm hospitality and the comforting aroma of coconut, curry leaves, and freshly ground spices—the unmistakable essence of Kerala cuisine. Each dish tasted fresh, well-balanced, and authentically prepared. Service was attentive without being intrusive. The ambiance—warm lighting, traditional décor, and soft background music—created a cozy and cultural dining atmosphere. Overall, this Indian restaurant perfectly captures the heart of Kerala’s food culture: simple, flavorful, and soulful. Highly recommended for anyone who loves traditional South Indian food or wants to explore something new and deeply satisfying.

I’ve tried many Indian restaurants across Ireland, but Spice India in Athlone truly stands out. They serve exceptionally tasty and authentic North and South Indian dishes. I especially loved their South Indian pork dishes and the North Indian curries — full of flavour and perfectly prepared. The staff are very friendly, dedicated, and make you feel genuinely welcome. Overall, a wonderful dining experience. Highly recommended!

We had a fabulous meal here. The staff were amazing especially Ciara who was very helpful. Friendly atmosphere and service was quick and efficient. The food was really tasty exactly what we were looking for. I had the gorkhali chicken it was a little bit spicy but full of flavour and my boyfriend had the chicken kolhapuri which is nice if you like something on the spicier side. Overall our experience was top notch and we will be back again (:

Ciara and Jay's service is something to be appreciated at any time of the day! Good food and great ambience.Tried their Indian Masala Dosa along with seafood Thali - both were lip licking good! Will come back for sure!
