Great drive a pitstop, lots of choices of snacks

Re atmosphere just turned spring hardly a bustling time ..food was excellent staff very attentive . We traverse Englands coast s and eat fish n chips ...this possibly some of the best haddock excellent chips just as much ..highly recommend

Really enjoyable and very nice staff, super menu - I’ve had the ribs and they were really good and the prawn & monkfish curry is 👌 I’ll definitely be going back!

Dinned-in during our visit to Duncannon beach. A great heart warming curry, delicious seafood linguine and grilled fish gave us a heart warming feeling after a chilling walk on the beach and a magnificent sunset. Locals also admire the place and highly recommend it by reviews and celebration parties hosted there. The beer selection was good and Guinness was fresh.

The food is excellent , the chowder is the best I have had .

We were here over the weekend, the food was nice enough, nothing special. The service wasn’t great, asked for dessert menus and they never arrived so after 20 minutes or so we paid and left. No one came to see if we wanted another drink or anything either while we were there, it was busy but plenty of staff. The other thing I noticed was all the staff were male, I noticed this in the summer too. I just thought it was a bit odd not to have a mix.

Have been in search of the best seafood Chowder in the County of Wexford. The Strand Tavern in Duncannon had been highly recommended. Visited here yesterday on the hunt for what was highly recommended by friends and family usually a pretty decent recommendation. Unfortunately had not considered that the last bank holiday before Christmas would have meant a massive influx into the this very beautiful corner of South Wexford. But unfortunately the Dubs had arrived on the scene by Sunday teatime of the Bank Holuday they had consumed all the Chowder that could be found. So we were relegated to Spicy Chicken Wings as a starter and my lovely wife had a large Goats cheese Salad. To be honest and fair play to all it was delicious and the serving of chips on the side was more than adequate and well done. Everything looked really fresh, particularly the salad. My daughters pint of Guinness was clean and well poured and formed nicely down the glass as it emptied. My Yellow Yellowbelly pale ale was also served at a really nice temperature. So despite our disappointed at the no Chowder we had a lovely early evening meal two drinks and a very friendly wait staff. In fact the general feeling was one of good friendly happy banter between the staff themselves and with their customers Well-done
