Food was amazing, best seafood chowder I’ve had! Service was brilliant too.

A detour from Waterford city traffic took us to Passage East car ferry and I suggested if Strand Tavern is open I would treat himself...he had never eaten there before I had so was hoping he wouldn't be disappointed He wasn't and neither was I. The service and the food is second to none. Big portions of the tastiest fish dishes we have ever had. He had the best chowder he ever had and I had a starter of smoked salmon and the special "Lemon Sole". Never mind paying for quality and hats off to all...a wonderful evening spent in The Strand Tavern.💯👏

Good food and reasonably priced. Would highly recommend but you will need to rebook.

It was very busy during the weekend we were there, had to wait for a table, but service is good, food was good as well, we enjoyed. Nice ficha and seafood option.

Lovely staff, food is absolutely amazing and I would definitely recommend the bbq ribs or the chicken salad, amazing restaurant I’ve been going there for a few years now

My hake was delicious, the Guinness was decent but not excellent.

We went to visit hook lighthouse and after went to the strand for food, the waitress went around like she wanted to be anywhere else bar serve people,didn't get her name after a few mins we got menus,my friend asked her to check if kitchen could make his burger with more spice and I had fish and chips.well food looked nice when it arrived bear in mind a different waitress brought it to us the batter was soft near soggy not crisp as it should be and his burger had no spice to it at all,possibly two dishes to avoid if you do visit
