Lovely spot for lunch, prices very reasonable. Selling yellowbelly IPA a nice bonus. Myself and my wife had Toasties, kids had very generous kids portion & baby bowl. Lovely experience

Fab food, big portions, lovely staff, great atmosphere and location

Family of four with adult child with special needs. Ordered, A bowl of mussels, Seafood Linguini, Chicken Pasta, BBQ Pork Ribs , our son had special dietary needs and was catered very well for and devoured his meal. The food portion sizes were unbelievably generous and absolutely outstanding, we literally could not finish our delicious meals and asked if they could be packed up , there was absolutely no issue, packed so well, the service was good, polite and very well mannered gentlemen who worked tirelessly between all the tables and the bar. The desserts were also beauitful, the cheesecake, sticky pudding and double chocolate brownie, all served with such detail. I would highly highly recommend this place, we searched for a place the evening before our long drive to Wexford and the reviews all seemed very postive but we did try a different establishment prior but food was not available. The only issue for us personally was the overlap of noise from the attatched area to where we were located, oviously this cannot be helped and it only affected us as our son has sensory issues, but there was no big issue, a little walk outside and back in and all was good. Will go out of our way to go here again, absolutely satisfied and well fed and delighted with absolutely everything this restaurant offered us as a family Award winning service, food and quality and quantity!!👏👏

A detour from Waterford city traffic took us to Passage East car ferry and I suggested if Strand Tavern is open I would treat himself...he had never eaten there before I had so was hoping he wouldn't be disappointed He wasn't and neither was I. The service and the food is second to none. Big portions of the tastiest fish dishes we have ever had. He had the best chowder he ever had and I had a starter of smoked salmon and the special "Lemon Sole". Never mind paying for quality and hats off to all...a wonderful evening spent in The Strand Tavern.💯👏

We had Sunday lunch here and it was absolutely gorgeous, would highly recommend 😋
