Definitely worth the money. Very modern.

Fantastic modern museum built into the stables of the old estate. Very informative and harrowing.

What a national treasure Strokestown House is, it also has a fantastic guide in Grace. She brought the entire tour to life. If it was a 3 hour tour, it wouldn't still reveal all the history of such a home. It deserves millions so the entire property is painstakingly preserved. The largest collection of Irish Famine records are in the process of being digitalised, that will be another string in the bow of this fabulous estate. The gardens and glasshouse with grape vines, fig trees, and rare fruits is a delight to meander through.

We did the Christmas experience. It was so well done and well thought out.

Was quite impressed , hadnt expected it to be so good a tour , info , photos and the blunt truth spelt out of the effect of the famine on one small town , highly recommended visiting.

Very well done storytelling with supporting documents and audio.

2 museums in one, the history of the famine and the historic house (you have to buy 2 different tickets) all very well maintained and constantly improving. In addition, the tickets include free access to its gardens, which are wonderful, with a walk through a forest with ancient trees and fairies. I would add that the cafeteria is very nice and has an option for vegetarians. 👌🏻
