The food was great, no complaints whatsoever. Very large portions.

The food was surprisingly great. We ate in the conservatory, which was dog friendly ans the reason we stopped. Very friendly and prompt service for us. Very busy spot. Could see burger and chips on table beside us and I jade serious food envy. However, I got the chowder, which was really good and just the ticket on a cold january morning. Prawns pil pil also very tasty. Some extra soda bread would have been welcome (1 small slice with chowder was a little measly, but the chowder was very filling, so I imagine lots of people dont eat 2nd slice of bread). All in all, great find ans we will be back!!!

Practically unchanged for over 50 years, this pub is an institution. Unrivalled views and excellent service. Nice bar menu available and full range of drinks. A great place to spend a few hours at any time of year.

Very nice service and absolutely delicious food: we took Howth chowder as a starter, potato skins and burger. Meals really worth the price !

I just had lunch at this hotel restaurant. The venue features typical Irish pub decor, lots of wood and soft lighting. The fish soup I ate was really excellent. Tourist area for the Howth Cliff Walk, but having been there in November the area and consequently the place were not very busy. Professional the staff.

There's outdoor seating, making it a great place to sit, rest, and grab a bite to eat after completing the Hoss Trail.

The restaurant provides food and drink in the port town. The food is delicious, and the Guinness is good too ;) We didn't use the rooms.

Felt as a tourist trap. Came here for a lunch, while visiting the area.
The atmosphere was amazing - as it is always in Irish pubs and places. Tons of details, wooden furniture, many things to see, cozy.
The food I can’t properly evaluate. I tried the Howth Chowder and Shepards pie. And as much as the Chowder was good, the pie was equivalently as bad.
Let’s start with the positives - Chowder. Big portion, creamy, hot and nice. I especially liked the smoked fish pieces inside - that made the flavor rich. And a piece of bread on the side is a great addition.
The Shepards pie (daily special) on the other had was very bland. It lacked salt, spices and flavor and tasted like it was just unfrozen. The salad on the side was also weird - a tiny portion covered in cheap mayonnaise.
Big portion, but I could not finish it. Maybe stick to the main menu and do not experiment with daily items.
The service was ok. A bit pushy - the waiter really tried to sell the signature wings (which were more expensive than other items). When I asked, if I should get smth else with the soup, he insisted I should - was it my miscalculation or his desire to sell more will remain a mystery. But it felt bad to waste the food (even though the pie was meh).
The prices are also higher, than usual and thus I can’t call this visit a good value for money.
Overall, it was not bad, but that pie devastated my experience.
