Sun House in Dundalk

We stopped in Dundalk on our return from Dublin for something to eat. We were wandering around a bit lost and came across The Rum House. From the outside it really didn’t look up too much, but how wrong was I! On entering we were taken away by the decor, a really lovely, modern bar with several levels and beautifully decorated and furnished. We were seated, given menus and served iced water. The menu was great we opted for the duck, ribs and kids meals. The food was gorgeous, the chips especially were very tasty. We also had desserts and a few drinks. We were really impressed and the bill was very reasonable for the quality. Would definitely return if ever back in the area.

I had my son's 16th birthday in Rum house Dundalk...recently renovated and looks amazing. Everyone had a great time. The atmosphere was buzzing!. The staff, were amazing, a special thanks to Adrienne, who communicated with me so well, Ann, who always looks after us so well and the other waiting staff... especially to the lovely girl, I don't know her name, who was extra vigilant in taking photos of my son when birthday cake came out. I went for the set menu and house wine...the food was delicious and excellent choice of 5 starters and mains. The wine was also very good. It was overall top class and good value. Thank you Rum House for helping me make extra special memories for my son.
