Talbot Hotel Carlow in Carlow

Stayed in the Talbot Hotel Carlow, overnight. We had dinner and an evening meal. I have stayed overnight in quite a few hotels. However, I have to say that the Tablot hotel stands out for value for money, with a lovely, clean, spacious room, and the bed was super comfortable. The staff was exceptionally, friendly, professional, and very efficient. From the ladies at reception, the bar/restaurant staff and the ladies serving breakfast were all so kind, mannerly, and helpful. I asked the lady serving breakfast her name so that I could let the staff at reception know how much we appreciated her kindness. Well done to each and every one of you. I would like to take this opportunity to thank ye and to wish you every success in the future.

I haven't stayed here. I lunch here and use the gym. Amazing friendly staff. Nice food

Spotless clean staff more than welcoming very relaxing top quality food plenty of car parking grounds more than well looked after room very spacious couldn't make out tv said smart tv but only a couple of staision for

Spacious room in USA style. Friendly staff, but they don't know anything about the menus and drinks. I had to show on the online menu that the mussels came with bread and French fries because the staff didn't believe me. Good breakfast buffet and enough parking spaces. The swimming pool and the associated cloakroom are dirty and falling apart. Several tiles are missing, there is mold everywhere, there is a gray lake in the sauna because the drain was blocked... Our eyes burned, so much chemistry is needed. Various other health pools can do this much better.

Just stopped in for a early morning Coffee while waiting for some colleagues. Was promptly directed to the bar area and served straightaway. The new bar surroundings and décor are excellent with lovely comfortable seating

The rooms are OK and the food is good but the hallways and the stairs look like something from a scary movie and the dirt of them they really need to fix that and move the smoking area because it take the look off the front. Don't think I would stay here again but I would go for food but that's about it

Great spot for a bite to eat or a prolonged stay. Service was a bit slow but I'll put that down to new staff. Otherwise a great place to stay.
