Tapau House Restaurant in Arklow

We went in Tapau yesterday and such incredible surprise. I thought would be amazing but was much over our expectations. Really one of the best food that we had for a while. And the girls on the staff are very very friendly. They even took a pictures of us there. We loved! We went from Dublin just to see around Arklow, but already considered to come back just to stop by Tapau again 🥰

50 minutes to prepare a take away. In fairness it was peak Saturday evening time. Food was outstanding, everything tasted fresh, amazing and generous portions. Not sure I'd want to eat in, as with everyone standing around waiting for take away, it had the atmosphere of a bus stop

Insanely good food, I had ducks and they were the best I have ever had. The owner is really kind as well and the interior has a nice natural design.

Genuinely one of the best places I have ever eaten at. I ordered kimchi beef fried rice and it was served so beautifully and the taste reflected this, it was incredibly high quality. I feel like my picture fails to show the portion size; it was large and easily filled me for the rest of the day. The banana fritters were also delightful, the staff going as far as ordering extra bananas when they were out just for us, which is the most amazing service I have ever seen. The restaurant was welcoming and the staff so kind, I recommend going. I know for sure I will be going again! 10/10!

Every dish was thoughtfully prepared—especially the green curry and pad Thai, which were both exceptional. The staff was welcoming and attentive without being intrusive, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. You can tell they truly care about quality and customer service. Whether you’re stopping in for a quick lunch or enjoying a full dinner, this place delivers consistently excellent food in a comfortable setting. Highly recommend.

I had dinner tonight at Tapau House with my partner and my parents. It was a busy night, fully booked in the restaurant and many walk-in takeaway orders being made. This restaurant and kitchen handled everything impeccably. The food was delicious; we had a variety of starters and mains, including Cauliflower Wings, Samosa, Chilli Lime Chicken, Black Bean Beef, Pad Thai and Yellow Curry; all recommendable. The service was excellent and the wait staff were polite, courteous and kind; checking in at the right times without being overbearing or interrupting. This restaurant is very good value for the quality of food and service, and you can feel the love and care behind it. I am looking forward to eating here again and I recommend you do soon too!
