Tara Hotel in Killybegs

The Tara Hotel is undergoing a full upgrade. The bar is finished and is the focal point for guests and locals, too.

Me and my partner came here after a lovely day out. Fiona served us and her service was exceptional. She made great recommendations, was very accommodating and friendly. Great service all round. Will definitely be back soon. The fish pie was on point 👉

Popped in for a quick lunch. Very friendly staff and prompt service. Had a lovely view over the harbour for lunch.

We went for lunch at Tara Hotel. This place has a most beautiful lookout to the dock / pier. The seats with the view are worth going for as you can enjoy the food with a nice view of the dock boats and also if lucky you can have a peek of loading and unloading of fishes they caught. Other than the view the food here is just delightful and makes you crave for more. The quality and quantity of food served here is just right for a person to satisfy their cravings. The food was served fresh and hot within a reasonable time. The staff here were very friendly and welcoming. They also help you out to choose the best food from the menu and also suggest some of their favorites. Moreover the photos would give you a better picture of the food. We ordered chicken goujons wrap, chicken goujons on ciabatta bread, goats cheese toasties, ham and turkey, vegetables and mashed potatoes with curry on the side. The hotel is well connected to the road as it is on the main street itself. You can also easily find parking on the street or at the pier. You can also enjoy a short walk at the pier after the meal as it is just across the road from the hotel. Overall a good hotel to try out.

Super nice employees, large rooms and good food.

My impression of this hotel: fantastic! The staff was friendly, the rooms had comfortable beds (though be aware there are no refrigerators), and the food was spectacular. Included breakfasts were filling and had a variety of options to choose from. Fiona was a great server for one of our evening meals. She joked around with us and really made the dining experience full of laughter.
