Tara Hotel in Killybegs

We went for lunch at Tara Hotel. This place has a most beautiful lookout to the dock / pier. The seats with the view are worth going for as you can enjoy the food with a nice view of the dock boats and also if lucky you can have a peek of loading and unloading of fishes they caught. Other than the view the food here is just delightful and makes you crave for more. The quality and quantity of food served here is just right for a person to satisfy their cravings. The food was served fresh and hot within a reasonable time. The staff here were very friendly and welcoming. They also help you out to choose the best food from the menu and also suggest some of their favorites. Moreover the photos would give you a better picture of the food. We ordered chicken goujons wrap, chicken goujons on ciabatta bread, goats cheese toasties, ham and turkey, vegetables and mashed potatoes with curry on the side. The hotel is well connected to the road as it is on the main street itself. You can also easily find parking on the street or at the pier. You can also enjoy a short walk at the pier after the meal as it is just across the road from the hotel. Overall a good hotel to try out.

Super nice employees, large rooms and good food.

My impression of this hotel: fantastic! The staff was friendly, the rooms had comfortable beds (though be aware there are no refrigerators), and the food was spectacular. Included breakfasts were filling and had a variety of options to choose from. Fiona was a great server for one of our evening meals. She joked around with us and really made the dining experience full of laughter.

Even in the midst of renovations, it was lovely to stay there. The restaurant was amazing and the staff were exceptional. Fiona was engaging and funny while taking our orders, she was a free improv comedy show. Can’t say enough good things!

The owner and staff were fantastic. Right in town was great for attending restaurants and bars and Cafe. Great value.

We cannot praise this brilliant hotel enough... such beautiful staff ... the welcome we've experienced was 1st class ... under pressure while trying to make this lovely hotel better in the revamp... even the builders were so hard worker's and very polite and kind ... shout out to Eavha.. Dara.... my wee Daniel... Ronan... and Erin.. ❤️ 💗 beautiful people ❤️ ♥️ 💕 Love always from Galway... ( don't mention the All Ireland) 😫🤣🤣🤣

Good size rooms. Major problem with noisy fans on until early hours of morning. Very uncomfortable sleep because of this.
