Lovely welcome, very happy for us to look around at the Harry Potter memorabilia. You can get a coffee and sit for a while to soak up the atmosphere.

I was looking for a book as a gift that would suit a very particular individual. I called on the off chance that they could recommend something and the staff were incredibly friendly and very helpful. They were able to recommend what looks to be the perfect book for the person it is for, not only that but are sending it out asap so we can hopefully hit a birthday deadline. Really excellent service and would thoroughly recommend!

Most beautiful bijou bookshop, could’ve spent hours here. Lovely collection and great craic with the owner, Neil. A real jewel to happen upon.

28/06/2025: Proper local bar, the sort of place that died out in the UK in the 1980s. The din from endless conversations was like an old friend, the Guinness was superb, the service and the locals were friendly and welcoming. Go there, go there now 🇮🇪

14/07/2025: Stopped in here after our drive from Clifden to Westport. Our room at the Castlecourt wasn’t ready yet so we were hungry. We hadn’t tried any pizza in Ireland yet so decided to give it a go. We ordered the margherita pizza which did not have fresh basil but a drizzle of a pesto sauce, perhaps? The crust was nice and thin. I thought it was quite nice but my husband thought it was okay. My son got the kids beef cheeseburger which was nice and juicy but also very well seasoned - not bland at all.
