Thatch in Drogheda

I go here about twice a month when me and my sister meet up. The restaurant is really good. Nice atmosphere and staff are well trained and friendly. I particularly like the Sunday Carvary. Excellent value and mouth watering food. Budget friendly all round. Soundings are a bit of old and new merged in a tasteful way.

We stopped here this Monday afternoon on our way home North. We found this place to be pleasant and the people working here are very nice. Great to get a carvery lunch during the week. Huge portions and the bacon was beautifully cooked as was all the veg too. The place is spotless and the atmosphere is great. Will definitely call again.

Had lunch here at Thatch Kitchen and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The place is cozy with plenty of parking available next to the gas station, which is a big plus. They offer a decent selection of Irish food for lunch if you're planning to sit in. I had the salmon with garlic potatoes. While the potatoes seemed slightly overcooked, the salmon itself was well done and tasted quite good. The black pepper sauce complemented the dish nicely. The cabbage had a bit of bitterness to it, but it was still alright. What really stood out, though, was the service. The waitresses were genuinely caring and friendly one even said, “There you go, love,” as she placed a Coca-Cola on my table. That simple gesture made me feel truly welcome. I’d definitely come back not just for the food, but for the warm, thoughtful service.

A nice spot went here for a christening. The service was great and reasonable priced drink €6.20 for a pint of Heineken food wasn't bad an all round nice place.

The carvey dinner was delicious, plate was full. Definitely recommend

Pleasant staff, lovely range of meals to have. Order at the counter and it's brought to your table.

Had sit in once and was fine, was busy so was we where in the overflow kinda room but was absolutely fine staff lovely, got take away there today 27/04/25 nd have to say was absolutely lovely so complements to the chef and staff for a lovely sunday takeaway dinner i had the beef and it was only massive 💙👌🏻 defo recommend if u like a good carvey dinner with all the trimings and will be 💯 getting foid here agaun and again.

The pint is special, bar staff excellent. Had the chicken stir fry.
