The place was heaving after the Ireland South Africa match, but I could still get a drink at the bar. Nice place great staff.

The young and very friendly staff are always smiling. One of them speaks five languages, including good Italian. The atmosphere is lovely and the food is delicious.

Just ordered Deep Fried Cod and Chips. It was cooked to perfection. Very fresh and really tasty. Would highly recommend it. The beer batter was very light. It was served with mushy peas and homemade tartar sauce with capers and gherkins in it.

19/02/2026: Called in for a drink, possibly an early dinner. However, we were not impressed by one senior staff member yelling at the younger ones, loudly and publicly, nor their fawning over the "owner" sitting at the bar, who also spoke quite arrogantly to a customer. (Not us btw, just unpleasant to watch). And obviously, by his replies to other unfavourable reviews. Went elsewhere as there are plenty of pubs around with friendly and respectful staff.
18/02/2026: Great atmosphere and friendly service, highly recommended
