I had dinner at the Anchor Bar recently and it was a great experience. The atmosphere was comfortable and welcoming, perfect for a relaxed evening meal. We ordered the turkey and ham, and the fish and chips — both dishes were generous, tasty, and well prepared. A reliable spot for classic, hearty food.

Had drinks and a super meal here. Excellent service great Guinness and the fish and chips and fish tacos were superb. Great bar service loved the athomphere and very good value. Looking forward to coming back next time we are passing through.

Great experience coming in with the family. Rory and Brian were friendly and hospitable. Great place for young kids. Great outdoor seating. Food was excellent. Highly recommend for authentic Irish hospitality.

Great experience. Bartender / waiter was excellent, food was great, perfect stop on our way for a quiet, delicious lunch. Soup and bread were especially good.

07/09/2025: Absolutely delicious food and great service/friendly staff. I had the steak (special of the day), which came with onion rings and mashed potatoes. They still offered to bring me chips. The fish (also a special) was delicious and well cooked. Not pictured: the veggies on the side that came with both dishes. Parking is easy, there is a huge car park nearby.
22/08/2025: Fish and chips are best in area, just melting in a mouth. Service is very lively and nice, big respect for employees.
