Very nice place to have your breakfast. Food is so tasty. Not cheap but worth it for a special occasion.

Busy popular place,its good for a rest & eat great food.Huge improvement after the renovation & very well run business.Well worth a visit. Very good COVID19 measures with a temperature check on entry,sanitiser at doorways & staff wear masks. Best to book a table beforehand these days. Latest visit Oct. 2021 & due to COVID19 we are still eating outdoors under the canopy.Booked for 7pm & some people are eating outside the canopy without heating. Latest visit Nov 2022 & back to normal dining.Quiet compared to before with less choice on the menu but the food is still cracking.Best Veggie Burger I ever had!

A very pleasant place! The restaurant is truly cozy and clean — you can immediately feel the care for the guests. The staff is polite and friendly, always smiling and ready to help. We especially enjoyed the option to sit by the river — the view is amazing, creating a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The food was absolutely delicious: everything was fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. There’s even a kids’ menu, which is very convenient for families with children. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Very nice place with lots of tables. A huge plus that they accept pets and even have special seats for them. Large parking lot outside. They were quite busy so we waited about an hour for our food hence 4 stars

I regularly venture to the anglers rest and I will definitely say that it can be hit or miss in terms of food but it I generally good and just depends on how busy it is. I was here 2 days ago for breakfast with my friend and when we got inside the door we hadn’t even reached the desk yet to be seated and a waitress rushed past us and said “2 minutes” with a bit of an attitude, bare in mind we didn’t even say anything or reach the desk yet. After a few minutes we were seated, and we sat there for 10 minutes, my friend had to go to the desk and ask for menus because every time we tried to get someone’s attention they wouldn’t make eye contact with us. We gave our orders and we weren’t waiting too long for our food and coffees, after we had finished eating we were still finishing our coffee and chatting away when a more senior member of staff (to my understanding) came and put the bill on our table and said “thanks” and just walked away Both me and my friend felt a bit unwelcome after that so we just paid and left

A lovely place to dine but it’s a shame they allow you to bring cakes for special occasions and blow out candles, but refuse to let you eat it inside. I was deeply disappointed that my family couldn’t host an occasion with a cake.

We visited the restaurant on a sunny afternoon and it was lovely to sit outside. Staff was helpful and nice, but nothing outstanding. As for the food, starters were nice and tasty but mains not so much. I got the catch of the day, which was the salmon, served with "roasted?" baby potatos (felt boiled), asparagus, and tomatoes. The fish was ok, but everything else on the side was barely edible. I couldn't eat the asparagus, and the potatoes were tasteless. My partner had the fish and chips which was ok, nothing special. I would only suggest it for the atmosphere but not the food.

La decoración, el entorno y el ambiente eran encantadores. Un maitre muy acogedor que nos cuidó bien. El servicio era bueno. Lo único malo fue la ensalada de quinua, demasiada lechuga y poco sabor en el plato tgat costó 17€ tan decepcionado con esto

Called here after a hospital operation and as it was the middle of lunch hour we were worried we wouldn't get a seat. However we did right in front of the furnace. It you need warning up on a cold day with a nice drink and some food then look no further. 🥵 Two things immediately strike you . First it's like being in the stock exchange on the wolf of wall st. The staff are jogging from table to kitchen and table to table. It was breathtaking and waiting for the sound of a collision but it never came. Secondly there are several dogs on leads so although I'm not sure the busy staff would notice. But I assume it's dog friendly. That's not a bad thing in fact I embrace it. Good for them😁 The food when it came felt rushed. The coli flower starter was swimming in sauce. It tasted lovely but overflowing. The fish was a little under but warmed up over a couple of minutes. Personally we felt that if they put a limit on the number of covers rather than squeezing everyone it then it would be amazing. Sometimes less is more! Would I go again? Yes I want to try when not so busy. Cost.. very reasonable. Great car parking. Beautiful lodge feel inside. Pets welcome is great. Just slow it down a little
