Great pub for nerds! Awesome atmosphere and decoration elements, they even have arcade games. Food and drinks are very decent too!

Good food and probably one of the biggest burgers I’ve ever been served. The meat itself wasn’t anything exceptional, but overall it was still a solid meal. The atmosphere is a little strange and the place feels quite cramped, but it’s still a good spot worth trying.

This place is not to be missed. What lovely and wonderful staff! I almost asked the lady if she would adopt me, she was that sweet. 🤣The chicken wings were absolutely delicious, I almost ate my fingers along with them. I felt completely at ease and even sat there crocheting. I made a keychain for her and I hope she liked it! SEE YOU SOON ❤️🍀

Wrights Findlater Howth

13/05/2026: A great public house service excellent food near the railway station and town centre. Leo was a great waiter and very friendly. His cocktails were excellent.
12/05/2026: Good food and a lovely place overall. It’s a bit overpriced, but the location justifies it to some extent, and the quality of the food is definitely noticeable. Unfortunately, the customer service lets the experience down, which is why I can’t give more than 3 stars. We waited around 10 minutes at the entrance before being seated, while staff passed by without even acknowledging us. Once at the table, we never had the same server twice, which may have contributed to the slow and disorganised service. We ordered bread twice, and it arrived about 15 minutes later, just basic sliced bread. Overall, the service felt sluggish, especially considering it was a quiet Monday evening and not busy at all. Interestingly, the bill arrived very promptly :) The restrooms were also in poor condition, which added to the disappointment.

Mullingar House

23/03/2026: Staying with work in The West County Hotel and went for walk in Phoenix Park. Called in here for bite to eat and a drink on way back. first thing that strikes you is the interior is really nice and the pub has real character. Food was excellent with an extensive menu and staff were just nice people. Will definitely be back and would strongly recommend it. It's outside appearance doesn't prepare you for how nice it is inside.
21/03/2026: The incredible historical depth and the remarkably cozy atmosphere of this premier traditional pub in the heart of Chapelizod make it an absolutely spectacular destination for anyone who values authentic Irish hospitality and literary heritage in Dublin. I spent a long time enjoying a perfectly poured pint and exploring the classic wooden interior because the general energy of the building is very inviting and every single corner offers a level of vintage charm that is remarkably consistent with the high standards of historic Dublin establishments. I really loved the professional kindness of the local bartenders and the thoughtful preservation of the Joyce related memorabilia because the balance of the old world tradition and the friendly community vibe is truly impressive and it provides a satisfying and rewarding experience for every visitor. The facility is maintained with a great sense of local pride and I noticed that the environment remains respectful and warm for families looking for a relaxing meal after a long walk through the nearby Phoenix Park grounds. It is a must visit for any resident or traveler who appreciates a well managed independent pub where the quality of the service is a main priority and the surrounding views of the Liffey river add a layer of natural beauty to the entire visit. I also appreciated the clean organization of the seating areas and the general sense of warmth within the lounge because it encourages a relaxed and mindful appreciation of the local pub culture while soaking in the vibrant charm of the Dublin landscape. Even though it is a popular spot for weekend regulars the organization of the service is executed with such care that you always feel like a valued guest during your stay. I will definitely be returning here soon for another evening because the combination of the prime location and the unbeatable historical profile is truly a highlight of the local neighborhood scene.
