Love this place for it's gluten-free options. The pasta is to die for.

Chicken burger massive, burger had better, small in size, looked over-cooked, fell apart, desserts were mean for price and €1 extra for ice-cream which we paid x 2 and never got, dessert portion tiny, choc syrup and a tube of cream instead of ice cream. Liked the atmosphere, lively and staff excellent. The place was buzzing

Very nice spot, food is always good, however charging €1.65 for a dash of miwadi is a disgrace. This would put me off returning. Don't mind paying for good food but unfortunately this is daylight robbery. Thank you for taking the time to reply, but pull the other one please. You can dress it up however you want, I'm afraid it's still robbery. A bottle of MiWadi costs roughly €3.50, you get approximately 40 glasses from each bottle. 40 x 1.65 = €66 minus the €3.50 which I imagine is a lot less when you buy in bulk. Gives you a profit or roughly €62.50 per bottle of diluted orange!! Going on the above calculations, Say two bottles a day, may well be more, That's, €3.50 x 2 '= €7 x 364, Christmas day off maybe, that's €2,548 spent on MiWadi per annum (lot less when purchased in bulk) Customer price €1.65 per glass, 40 glasses from each bottle x 2 = 80 glasses = €132 x 364 = €48,048 - €2,548 = a tidy little profit of €37,500 per year on a drop of diluted orange 🤣 I have been to many restaurants where I've been shown to my table, order taken, and food delivered to my table, par for the course really. And while I can't attest to the care in which the bar staff add the ice to the filtered water in the glass, I can however say with confidence it tastes the same everywhere else and is generally free!! Perhaps you should listen to you customers instead of coming up with some longwinded excuse to try justify this ridiculous charge.

The food was cold, some order was missing and take too long. But the ambience was good.

I really enjoyed lunch at The Barn. The food was good with a huge menu. I really like the venue. The prices are good, will definitely be back!

Food is good. Place is beautiful. Prices are ok in the most but ordering a burger and then paying separately for chips is cheeky. Main issue is the staff ( the younger ones). Clueless and disinterested. Waited over 40 minutes for order to arrive and when it came it was wrong. The two boys delivering it just stared blankly. No words. Took it back and left. I told them 3 times what the correct order was but they just didn’t reorder it and it never came. Not good when you have a hungry child waiting on it.

I wonder if people can relate to this. I never complain to a restaurant. If I don't like the experience, I just don't go back. But what if you love the place, and don't want to see it decline. I have this in mind when I say my last experience was awful. We ordered breakfast at approx 1130. We thought about waiting untill 12 to order from the lunch menu but had a lot on that day. We were told there was a backlog. It was busy so didn't mind. We then watched as a few tables that had sat down after us got served before us. We asked one of the waiting staff if there was a prob. Was told it's very busy. We then watched as a table ordered off the 12 o clock lunch menu get served before us and finsh eating. We got our food at 1225. It was cold, baked dry as if it was under the heating lights for a long while. We just ate quickly and left as soon as we could. One more experience like that and I prob wouldn't go back and would stop recommending the place. Very disappointed.

Nice enough ..decent carvery ..very well organised,great staff .. super busy spot .would be nice if the desserts were homemade..I do understand it's busy but you could just have 3 homemade desserts and the softwhip would be enough ..trays of brownies/ sticky toffee / apple crumble could be done in big batches

Fast service, decent food, and a nice atmosphere. The optional carvery is nice too, but a bit too watery. The outside area is lovely in the sunshine, beside fields of cows. A lovely spot to chill out. Update: dropped a couple of stars as the price has gone up significantly and the food quality has dropped compared to when it opened, especially the carvery which is now even more watery. But the staff remain great and ordering and paying through the app is very convenient.

Use to love this place. So was eager to attend after reopening. Refurbishments look great. That being said the latest experience was terrible. New young staff don't seem to have a clue what they are doing. 40min wait for 2 full breakfast and 2 coffees. Breakfast was clearly pre cooked. Eggs had been slow cooked through from the bottom from sitting on the warmer plate for too long. Which meant the delay was not waiting for our food to be cooked, they just didn't bother plating it. Server brought our coffees, then took them away again to another table. Other table informed them they didn't order it.. and so brought it back to our table. Coffee cups were barely half filled. Waited so long for food asked for 2 more coffees. Only one ever came. Wrong orders brought to the table over and over. In total 5 times servers brought stuff to the table not meant for us. Server wrote wrong table number and subsequently all staff kept bringing items intent for other tables. When we asked for the bill server brought bill from a different table. Then brought our bill but it was wrong (had under charged) told server(We got 2 full breakfasts 2 lattes 1 cappuccino). They brought it back 2 more times still wrong. Fourth time (bill read 1 full breakfast, 1 half brakfast, 2 lattes) I just paid and left cause I was sick of it at that stage. I was always a fan of the Barn and I searched for an email to send this too cause I'd rather not speak ill of the place online, but it was atrocious service. The new front of house team are young and clearly inexperienced. Hopefully this is a short teething stage in the reopening and it gets back to the excellent service the establishment was known for.
