The Bay Restaurant in Kenmare

A lovely little hotel in Kenmare. A good starting point for tours to admire the scenery.

I was met at reception by Gabby and Sharon. They were pleasant, personable, and welcoming. My stay went upwards from there. Josh and Slav, in the dining room, were most professional. I would highly recommend this hotel. Seán Sunderland.

The hotel has a large, convenient parking lot and spacious rooms with nice bathrooms (no air conditioning, but a fan is available). The reception is adequate, but the night porter is very friendly and polite. The hallways are quiet, which makes for a pleasant stay. The swimming pool, shared with a leisure club, is small and often crowded. The sauna was out of order, but the steam room is pleasant, and the jacuzzi can accommodate 4-5 people. The communal showers and changing rooms are not very clean.

We generally like this spa complex and regularly visit the bathhouse. Nice atmosphere, clean, comfortable, a good place to relax and unwind. However, unfortunately, given the lack of real competition in the area, the price has been increased and is now 15 euros. There are also no discounts for students or pensioners. I would also like to note that there are no restrictions on the type of ticket - for example, it is impossible to buy a cheaper ticket for only the pool. Recently, there have been some unpleasant moments. For example, last Saturday the jacuzzi was not working, but we were not warned about this in advance, and we were still charged the full price of 15 euros. It would be fair to give a discount if part of the recreation area is not available to guests. Overall, the place is good, but I would like a more flexible pricing policy and better communication with customers.

Excellent place to stay in Kenmare. Friendly staff and efficient service. Within walking distance of the town centre. Definitely worth a visit if you are in Kerry. Brilliant pool and steam room.

No food or bar during the day .The Bistro opens at 5 o'clock in the evening, this is also the bar during the quieter times at the hotel. The Bistro was decorated very nicely.

I’ve stayed here twice now and it is the most peaceful stay! Like, first time we stayed, we left the window open all night and even though we were by the road, nothing disturbed us and the beds were so so comfortable! On my second night and used the gym, the staff were all so nice and so helpful and welcoming! They privately contacted us ahead of time to see if we wanted to book dinner which is phenomenal service and I just cannot recommend it enough! The bath, the shower, the cleanliness, the mini fridge! Perfect! Plus the TV has Netflix, YouTube and prime which make for a perfect relaxing weekend away!
