The Bay Restaurant in Kenmare

I meant to amend this review months ago. Following this initial review I got a call from the manager first thing on Monday morning at 9 am. She was very apologetic and very very nice to deal with. I'm very grateful for her come back and her professionalism. We received a voucher for a 2 night stay as an apology. Very appreciated it. We won't let this experience change our mind and will continue to visit on our once or twice a year as previous years I have been staying in this place for the past 15 years. Never had one single issue. We were told the pool will be open until 9 pm so we took our time as we are on our holidays. Last entry to pool for under 16 is 7 pm (not told) - Arrived at the pool at 7.05 and no entry allowed for my 13 years old daughter. The young man Mike was extremely sarcastic and patronising with a dirty smirk on his face. Bad bad form will stay in Killarney in future. Disgusting behaviour. When complained to management at the reception the manager wasn't aware of the pool rules.

The hotel offers a lovely atmosphere that made my stay delightful. I spent two nights and wished I could have stayed longer. The rooms are beautifully designed, and the restaurant staff were friendly and attentive. They clearly care about guest feedback, which enhances the experience. While the food was enjoyable, the tiramisu wasn’t quite to my taste. The leisure center is clean and well-maintained. Overall, my experience in Kenmare town center and at the Bay Hotel was fantastic—truly a perfect place to unwind.

Such a lovely hotel with a warm friendly reception on arrival. Great cleanliness all through. Quiet and comfortable bedroom and lovely clean bathroom. All staff very friendly and helpful. Dining room really nice and food excellent. Thank you very much. My cousin and I really enjoyed our stay in July.

Very enjoyable stay, with delicious food and solid recommendations for local outdoor attractions.

A very nice and quiet hotel, with excellent service and located on the outskirts of Kenmare, a charming town. It has a paid indoor pool, although we couldn't use it due to lack of time.

Lovely hotel with friendly staff, only a 5 minutes walk from the centre of town. Plenty parking by the hotel and leisure centre. The highlight of my stay was the breakfast, amazing buffet and menu Erich included many delicious vegetarian and vegan options. Rooms large and modern, very clean including the bathroom with bathtub.

The mattress was terrible, when I got in one side the other side moved , the springs kept popping 😔

Stayed here August Bank Holiday and had the most comfortable and lovely stay. Staff are excellent, so friendly always smiling and everybody couldnt have been more helpful. Hotel spotless. Really lovely place.
