Don't know what all of the negative reviews are about, the owner is a gent and the food was absolutely beautiful. Will be back.

Best milkshakes on the planet! We visit Ireland once a year for our holiday. And every time we pass through Glengarriff, we have to stop by to get a milkshake from the Black Cat. Our favourite? The caramel milkshake! They're made with syrup, cream, several scoops of ice cream and a little milk to fill the remainder of the cup. It's very rich, creamy and an absolute flavour bomb. There are even little pieces of caramel in it because of the ice cream. It simply can't get any more caramel packed than that. Looking forward to stop by again!

Sorry but I just looked thought all the reviews and half of them aren't even true the 5 stars is for how some of ye acted I like the comments of what ye texted I'm not a customer but I work there and live there sorry if my grammar is kinda messy since him only 12 but like I'm gonna comment on all the reviews first one that caught my eye was a low review and how you started off saying that ur mother said u should keep quiet if u have nothing good to say and that's true and yes since ur review was from 5 years ago or smth yea the 99 machine was probably a bit yellow but it was old and we did give u free ice cream when it fell but what did u expect us to do once the ice cream fell on the ground? Did u want us to pick it up off the floor with our gloves and slap it back on the cone? Well it probably would taste really bad because we clean the floor really well and if u did say this idk if u did but u were commenting on how dirty the place was. We couldn't help that the place was dirty it was just after rush hour so we were focused on cleaning up the toilet and the griddle first so ye wouldn't get sick from smth ok next review that caught my eye was another bad review and how the fod was really bad and that their was hair in ur food that's in possible sorry if u aren't lying but we make sure that there's not hairs in ur food before we give it to u.Yes we were leaning over close but did u want to get the smallest piece of ice cream ever our ice cream when we restock the ice cream it's rock hard and we really hurt our self's trying to get the ice cream onto the cine if it is rock hard so we bend closer o we dont hurt ourself,u possibly or the stuff ok now. There was one review that made we so happy long comment all good and u were probably talking about me when u said there was a little girl there helping yea I wasn't 6 or 7 I was 9 and that was a father hope u come again if u haven't all ready.an9ther review that i saw was about how the place was so dirty again just after rush hour also if u comment again saying definitely not just after rush hour well thats a lie because we like to keep everything clean safty hazard no u might of smelt chemicals because we clean with it so we make everything is sterilised incase of cross contamination mostly it's all about dirty stuff and all that oh and one more thing the reason why my brother or dad was arguing that it was 6 euro not 5 was because sometime we raise the prices and we forget to change them for we don't have time mostly because we don't have time anyways thanks for possibly reading all this and yea bye

I've been stopping for a Burger or Fish n Chips since 2008. It's always been my favourite! Thanks so much for this tasty, made with love and passion fast food!

A local venture and family owned. Does exactly what it says on the tin. All good was very tasty. Loved the chips and the burger was loaded as requested.

Look this is a Family run business. It gets packed the best of times, a great place where it is pocket friendly, and lovely food and ice-cream. This Family are so hands on and so friendly. Quality full filling food yummy fish n chips and burgers. Great to see many top reviews, who had their tummies filled at such cheap prices. Many take to sit and enjoy with respect for the food they received, they clean their tables when finished, so the next customer has the same quality, they were served with. Sadly only the ones that leave their table in a complete mess complain, they are so privileged. This Place has met their needs before, during and after pubs. The Complainers will try to ruin a great place, of such brilliant prices, how the Family manages to keep costs down is really something to admire. Well done customers keeping the dirty complainers quiet, we need more places to eat like this, that are family friendly and cheap like The Black Cat. Well done guys yummy food friendly faces and many great customers.
