The Black Dog in Cork

Music, staff and atmosphere were all grand.

We were here in 2019. The atmosphere hasn't changed much. And that's a good thing. BDSM is and should remain a rock bar. Here, you sit down, enjoy a few beers, and chat with the locals. The music is more of a side effect. If you're a little peckish, there's also freshly prepared food from the smoker/grill. I had nachos with baked cheese. It's really good here. The Black Dog is always packed on weekends. It's definitely worth a visit...

Great food and beer selection, friendly staff and cozy ambiance. Their tacos (especially the bbq chicken one) are to die for, perfect balance of spice and some sour.

We ordered the nachos, birria and corn. It was absolutely amazing. Massive portions so the staff were very kind to accept when we wanted to place a half porrion order for the corn. Will be dreaming of all of this and will deffo be coming back. Highly recommend.

Yes!!! This is my favorite restaurant to dine in in Cork. I used to order the nachos until I tried the beef birria quesadillas- and my world changed!! Friendly staff and lovely spot as well. Great value for price as I am always leaving stuffed. Quesadilles taste just like back in South America.

I’ve taken any visiting family here because the food is so good. The staff is lovely and the food is so unbelievably good !! We all had dinner, were so full, and ordered more because it was so delicious we couldn’t help ourselves. Fully recommend for food and for vibes 🖤

Service was ok. Atmosphere was great. However a pint of Heineken cost 7.20. I would have almost accepted that if at the very least it was put it in the correct branded glass. Surprising considering that Heineken hold quality to such a high standard.

drink and taco's, what more is there to like. the beers are good and the tacos are tasty. Churros for dessert, with ice cream.

We recently visited The Black Dog while on a trip to Cork, and it was a fantastic experience. The food and drinks were delicious, and the atmosphere was lively and welcoming. A special thanks to Doc for making our night even more enjoyable. Highly recommend.
