A beautifully furnished, cozy hostel with a great atmosphere! My girlfriend and I were warmly welcomed, first by the four-legged friends, then by the two-legged ones :) There's a kitchen with some ingredients, like spices and even pasta, that you can use for free. Breakfast, with homemade bread and eggs from the chickens in the garden, is also included! Everyone I met there—staff and guests alike—was friendly and contributed to a nice atmosphere—it was almost like a big shared apartment :) If I'm in Killarney again, I'd love to come back to the Black Sheep Hostel!

I got a decaf Americano, which was very good, but it was way too hot. 20 minutes after I purchased it it was still almost undrinkable. I'm not sure if they used boiling water to make it, but it was unnecessary. I burned my tongue and the roof of my mouth.

Perfect location, very atmospheric, close to the train station, trails, park, and bike rentals. Highly recommended.

You'll be hard pressed to find a hostel better than this. I can't give and honest 5 star for rooms because I slept in the garden in my tent (cheapest camp site I've stayed in).

I hadn't tried hostels before this and another in Galway the day before. This is an elite experience that I will never miss on my travels. Privacy curtains on the beds, room to stash your luggage and free breakfast in the morning make this one of the best hostels in all of Ireland EASILY.

This was my favorite hostel I stayed in while living in Ireland for 3 months. It was a great location within walking distance to restaurants and shops in town and a short distance from Killarney National Park. That being said it is not close to a bus or train station, so keep that in mind if backpacking. The beds were the most comfortable I've found in a hostel, each with their own privacy curtain. Lots of storage space for your luggage, lovely people both working and staying there. Felt super safe! Use of the kitchen was encouraged, a sweet little working garden in the back, cute pup, bike rentals available as needed, and a cozy front living room with a fireplace, games, and instruments. Was super homey and special. They even offer laundry services for you if you need them! Great spot, would definitely stay here again if I come back to Killarney!

Highly recommended place to stay in Kargil (really interesting place that is the main gate to the Zanscar Valley, one of the gems of India). Dont doubt about this place: the rooms are confortable (even it has three bathrooms per room), the living-room in the third floor is amazing, it has terrace, restaurant, and one of the best view of the city. Summary: Facilities are great; the best I've found in India. Also, all the workers are extremely nice, polite and helpfull.

Really great hostel. Room was cosy and each bed had nice privacy curtains. Lots of space to store your stuff. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Breakfast included and you can have homemade daily soda bread. The kitchen is nice and the common areas too. Everything is kept clean. The showers are good but one of them was a very tight squeeze, can't really get changed in there. The dogs are really cute.
