The Black Sheep Hostel & Coffee Shack in Killarney

Would highly recommend The Black Sheep if you are looking for a hostel in the Killarney area. It is conveniently located near the city center and national park, has comfortable and private beds, nice staff, well equipped kitchen, and tasty breakfast. We did not try the coffee shop but heard it was great as well. There are also chickens and dogs (chickens friendlier than the dogs.)

Hands down the best hostel in killarney anytime I go to killarney I try to get this hostel because its near the town near the national park and it's quiet,clean and free breakfast too!

Apartment at Hostel was incredible value for money, Only issues we had was with getting into 1 of the rooms which was sorted immediately and same with an alternate way to get into the main building when the phone lock wouldn’t work. Great location right by metro station. Can be bit hot in roof apartment and bit noisy but can’t complain for price paid per night

A truly wonderful youth hostel with lovely people and rare comfort in a youth hostel. It was a pleasure to spend a few nights there!

The location is great.. loved the interiors and the vibe .. loved the backyard garden.. good staff, clean and comfy room/bed. I think the showers can be worked on . They are very confined. Since it’s a hostel one often has to carry a lot of things to the shower like toiletries, clothes, towel.. and there wasn’t space to keep anything and hardly any space to move .. the water wasn’t hot enough either ..

The hostel is placed in the middle of the city close to the national park and the city center. Everyone was incredibly friendly, got the bed a little dirty and was worried they'd be mad but they understood my problem and everything was good. I also rent a bike and went to the national park. Best idea ever. Sleeping may be a little nosy but if you wear earbuds it should be alright. I wish wish the little placeholder in the beds were bigger but thats not really an important problem. The breakfast is also very well thought out there smth for everyone!

Best coffee in Killarney. Oatley vegan milk is great option.

What a fun experience! This place is everything you want in a hostel. The beds are comfortable with privacy curtains installed. The luggage storage is very spacious and conveniently located under the bunks. The complimentary breakfast is great. The kitchen is large and equipped. There’s a cafe attached and the coffee is yummy. There’s a garden and an industrial washer and dryer. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. They have all the resources you need to plan your days. Location is perfect. In my opinion this was a flawless hostel experience
