Had the homemade tortellini after a trek and it was delightful! There was a good ratio between the pasta and the filling and the tomatoes added a good tang to the dish. The sauce was buttery and I wish I could scoop up more. I had the €13 version and the portion size was small as we were under the impression that the higher priced version was extra large. My friends had the chowder and other meat based pasta and they loved their dishes too. The chowder had a good variety of seafood chunks in there. The staff was lovely and the atmosphere was warm and cosy.

A very high-quality and beautiful place, I can only recommend it! We came here for lunch today and the staff were very kind and lovely! The food was delicious and arrived quickly! I can only recommend it to everyone! There is a children's menu, and compared to other restaurants we've been to, the food here was much better! Thank you for the kind hospitality, we will definitely be back!

Incredible service in record time. We told them there were seven of us and we only had half an hour, and they exceeded our expectations with excellent service, speed, and a smile. Thank you for everything.

Great experience with booking & flexibility. Menu was broad and good value. There was supposed to be set menu but it was not provided, was with guests so didnt want to ask. Chowder starter solid, tasty with proper fish & mussels & clams. Tasty with homemade brown bread. Fish & chips were very tasty, batter on fish was thin & crispy, class. Tartare sauce. Peas were ok. Chips needed seasoning. Crumble tasty, but different dush please, thats a trifle dish & hard to eat crumble out of it. Others food tasty. Portion sizes were very fair & price point is solid. Decor modern & interesting, toilet on right had candle lit etc, but needs an upgrade i suggest. Minor in nature tbh. Would highly recommend.

Wrights Findlater Howth

14/03/2026: Very nice! View at the second floor is nice. Staff is very friendly and service is amazing :)
26/02/2026: Great seafood, but it misses the mark on variety, authenticity and value. As someone who has navigated the culinary landscapes of both bustling global metropolises and quiet coastal enclaves, I can certainly appreciate a limited menu when it means the kitchen focuses on doing a few things really well. Unfortunately, this place is a bit of a mixed bag, and the premium prices don't quite match the experience. The absolute highlight of the meal was the Irish Black Mussels. They were incredibly fresh, and the white wine and scallion cream sauce was a fantastic touch. The portion was huge, making it a great choice if you're a seafood lover. The Fish and Chips were also quite good compared to standard pub food. The fish was fresh with a great, crusty batter, even if the chips themselves were just okay. You definitely get a big portion. However, the Guinness and Beef Pie was a letdown. If you’re looking for the real deal, be warned: this is topped with mashed potatoes instead of a traditional pastry crust, making it more like a cottage pie. While it didn't taste bad initially, it was heavily seasoned and cooked in a way that left me with some serious indigestion afterward. As for the service, it’s just okay. The staff does the bare minimum—they’ll get you seated quickly, but expect them to disappear or forget about a few things you ordered once you're at the table. The Verdict: If you are specifically craving a big, fresh portion of mussels or solid fish and chips, you’ll be happy. But given the limited menu, the lack of authenticity with the pie, and the high prices, it's hard to justify the overall value.

The Winding Stair

08/03/2026: Took the opportunity to have dinner there recently as a treat/date night and have to say it was a great evening. Food was a little slow to arrive but it was very busy and food was more than worth the wait. The pork chop was the nicest thing I have eaten in a good long time.
28/02/2026: Great to experience a restaurant that consistently delivers high quality food, professional & friendly service & value for money. Thank you 🙏🏽
