Incredibly charming, delicious food

Set out point for the jarvies who bring people to the gap of Dunloe. Simple cafe, but good selection of snacks and light meals

It’s very nice people and amazing food and everything. It’s a really must visit place and i really recommend it.

Dropped in for a drink after walking the Gap of Dunloe. Service was pretty slow (even though it wasn’t a busy day), not helped by the staff not understanding the order: we asked for a Coke Zero and the special drink advertised (an iced mint chocolate), were given a regular Coke and a hot chocolate with some sort of mint ice cream mixed in? Asked politely for a Coke Zero instead, ended up getting a Diet Coke, and didn’t have the energy to argue. Lucky the spot has good views… EDIT - thank you to the business for replying, and I think you have absolutely made some valid points - staff in training is obviously something to factor in here, and I do take all of your other points on board. However, I will also say that the tone of this response doesn’t seem totally fitting of a business either - the Coke order being wrong not once but twice (after correction, as you point out) is not a training issue, let’s be serious. To say that my review, because it isn’t overwhelmingly positive, is therefore “performative” is also a bit of a cop out. You will see from my profile I have reviewed every establishment I have visited over the last few days, so this dismissive response isn’t really justified. Not sure why feedback not given directly is therefore any less valid, but can’t make everyone happy!

Lovely cafe. All meal types covered breakfast, hot lunch, sandwich or light bites with great choice for each. Staff are extremely friendly and both the cafe and the toilets are exceptional clean.

A real favorite! ❤️ We were greeted with exceptional kindness from the moment we arrived. The staff is warm, attentive, and cheerful—you immediately feel at ease. The setting is magnificent, both cozy and charming, perfect for a delicious meal. We tried two lasagnas and a quiche Lorraine: everything was absolutely delicious, homemade, generous, and perfectly seasoned. Flawless from start to finish! Thank you for this wonderful experience; we will definitely return on our next trip to Ireland 🙌🇮🇪

Unrelated to the food or service since we didn’t purchase anything here but a warning about the ATM- 14.5% markup when pulling cash from a US checking account and selecting “decline transaction” actually confirmed the transaction. Users beware!

We had the most incredible breakfast here on Saturday. We were in the area for a family wedding. The food and service is 10/10 and we all highly recommend. Very friendly staff and can’t fault the Cafe at all. The location is absolutely perfect too and we will be back as we didn’t have time to try all the delicious looking cakes!! Thanks so much. ❤️
