We had a gorgeous dinner here this evening. The food was really lovely. Service was excellent. Great value. The place is decorated perfect for Christmas. Thanks so much for making our family so welcome.

Fabulous menu, with something for everyone and very reasonable priced. Service, quality & atmosphere 5☆ it doesn't disappoint

4 of us stopped here for Sunday lunch mid afternoon. On arrival we were told they were busy and to wait to be seated even though there was many empty tables so we were left standing at the door for about 10 minutes while staff walked up and down in front of us oblivious to us. We were eventually seated and ordered 2 starters to share- crab claws and calamari & prawn salad. They took quite a while to come but the presentation was good only complaint is there was barely any calamari in the salad for the price. For main course we each had the roast beef which was delicious I especially loved the yorkshire pudding as not many places have that. The cabbage was a bit crunchy and stalky but other than that the portions were excellent and really tasty the gravy was also lovely. For dessert I had the ‘chefs lemon meringue’ pie although it didn’t seem very home made and I think it would have been much nicer warmed I’m not sure if it was supposed to be and they forgot to warm it or not. Overall, the food was quite good but the service was extremely and appallingly slow and the place was not very busy so I don’t understand why everything took so long.
