We only stayed for one night. The room was okay, a bit dated. Unfortunately, the breakfast selection was very limited. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. There were plenty of parking spaces, and you could also take the bus directly into Galway.

Spacious room. Comfortable beds, difficult bathtub height if you have problems lifting your legs, bedside lamps with dust.

I loved the plants in the hallway. I meet friends there a few weeks back. The teas and coffees were great. VThe breakfast/ brunch was very limited. The scones were a bit burnt. We are going back to our regular haunt.

Kids club and leisure centre mean it's super for families and thr location is great for getting into town. The staff were all excellent and food + nightly entertainment also superb. Family room had everything we needed and enough space to not kill each other. Will be back.

We have stayed in this hotel 8-10 times. The kids absolutely love it. Breakfast was amazing with so much choice. Pool and kids club was fantastic. I definitely would recommend this hotel.

The Universal

20/05/2025: The starter was rather unremarkable. The soda bread served with the crab claw became especially dry after being pan-fried. The pairing of red cabbage with chilli oil didn’t work—the dish lacked a strong foundational flavour, and the addition of peanut chilli oil only heightened the bitterness of the cabbage, resulting in a muddled and incoherent taste. The main course, however, was a pleasant surprise. The steak, in particular, was rich, juicy, and full of flavour—I would return just for that dish. The lamb was exceptionally tender with a lovely hint of char from the grill. As always, the dessert was consistently excellent.

11/07/2025: We had dinner one night and was amazing the food. During our dinner we noticed Australian sports on the TV. The next day we came back and asked to watch AFL to which the accommodated. The staff were amazing, also giving us recommendations for other places. All the staff were kind and attentive.
