Nice place with view on Kings Johns Castle. Tasty food .

A group booking of 12 people. Attentive staff. Stand out plates were the chicken supreme, sirloin steak and the fish and chips looked great as well. Loved the affogato and cheesecake for dessert. The space was busy and felt noisy and difficult to hear others. A little more soft furnishings might counter this. Only slight downside was my mother-in-law asked for a side salad instead of chips with her burger but they couldn't accommodate her request which seemed inflexible.

Great food, service prompt and courteous. Busy, so book in advance, try and get a table on the terrace for great views of King Johns Castle and the River Shannon.

The plus side of Curragower: it has a wonderful view of the Shannon and King John's Castle across the river, especially if you choose outside seating. The place was so buy when we ate there that we didn't have that option. The down side: it's a bit touristy and the quality of its food is uneven. My seafood chowder was okay, but just yesterday in Limerick, I had a bowl of seafood chowder that was superior to what Curragower offers. Its bowl is generous with seafood, but the sauce is thick as if flour has been added to it. My dining companion was disappointed that his seafood pie was far more potato than seafood. The food is well-plated and attractive, however. Service is quick and efficient, and the surroundings are very pleasant. So take your pick, plus or minus: nice surroundings, good service, great view, but food that can vary in quality.

Very nice location right on the Shannon river. Great views. Menu had a nice variety.

Grabbed a quick meal here. The food was tasty and the staff was very friendly. Highly recommend the seating on the upper level, which was a glass enclosure, with lots of plants, and great views of the castle and river.

Nice cozy bar with terrace view to river Shannon. Food is very good, stuff is very helpful and nice. If you wish to dine on the terrace you will been to book a table, but there is plenty space inside for walk ins guests.
