Food was amazing. The service was okay just it was too busy and I waited for my order more than 20 minutes and the atmosphere was loud and full of people. Decoration of the restaurant is beautiful.

THIS PLACE IS SUPERB!!!! My wife and I were staying for several days at the Strand, and I saw the online reviews, marked it as a "must-try," and then promptly forgot about it (LOL). Then, when we were walking to King John's Castle, we passed by, and I saw the name and remembered - and we stopped in for lunch. We were SO thankful that we did, as the food and service were INCREDIBLE! I ordered the "seafood pie," and let me just say: we spent a week in London and a week in Ireland, and other than the Wallace Museum "High Tea," this was THE best food of our trip. As I've mentioned previously (in other reviews), the test of quality food is when you take the first bite and immediately issue an involuntary moan of delight, followed by the compulsion to food-share with your eating companion(s), ala "You MUST try this!" Such was the case here, in which much passing of dishes back and forth transpired throughout the meal. And despite the busy-ness of the lunch hour, we never were forgotten or neglected by the staff - who instead were friendly and attentive. All in all, a FABULOUS experience, and we look forward to eating there again, during our next trip! SIDE NOTE: The Google AI that they're apparently now using to assess reviews flagged this review as "fake" and deleted it - and I had to post an "appeal" to have it reposted. THIS IS NOT FAKE. Good location on the river Shannon. Looks very cool, great atmosphere. Good is good, famous locally for the chicken wings.

Delicious, absolutely delicious! The seafood soup is my favorite; it's so filling and you could have a side dish with it. The wings are also delicious and filling. I ordered the seafood mix during the lockdown in the days of COVID-19; it was absolutely delicious and enough for two people. Had the mussels starter. Not great. Very small fish a pity.
