Small, quaint shop with excellent food and friendly staff! I had the Nutella banana pancakes and my husband Breakfast nap sandwich. Both were delicious!! We also had the raspberry almond cake. Tea and coffee were great. Reasonably priced and food was super fresh! A must see!

We recently ordered a sandwich platter for 15 people from the Floury Apron. They were absolutely top quality and we had a great mix of fillings in ciabatta , foccacia, wraps and slice pan. Caroline was very attentive via email and followed up afterwards to make sure we were happy with our order. Food, service and value were all 10/10. Would highly recommended.

One of the best delis I've ever visited here in Ireland! The space is super bright, spacious, well-organized, and full of small details that make all the difference—perfect for relaxing or working. The chef is incredible: super attentive, and you can tell she loves what she does. Her flour-covered apron is almost a testament to her dedication to the kitchen. The food is delicious, with great vegetarian options. If I could eat here every day, I'd easily become a vegetarian! The salads are incredible, super fresh and full of flavor—and the dressings? They're on a whole other level! They enhance everything with creativity and balance. The sandwiches are varied and delicious, and the pastries... besides being beautiful, are made locally and have an unforgettable flavor. I highly recommend them! 🍴✨

I have been trying for years to find a bakery in Cork that could prepare a southern-style caramel cake, a flavour of cake my wife loves because it reminds her of her childhood in the US. Most bakeries I contacted turned me down immediately because it would mean trying an unfamiliar recipe. At The Floury Apron, they not only took on my custom order, but stayed in contact with me for the couple weeks leading up to my wife's birthday while they tried out the first-time recipe and then asking what finishing touches I wanted in terms of decoration. The cake was exactly what we wanted, gorgeously decorated and tasted amazing! We were just blown away by the personal effort made by The Floury Apron to make this happen for us. Will 100% be coming back to them for any future cake orders!

Balance

02/10/2025: I had breakfast here today. The full breakfast is very good and the bread really nice and good value. Staff member stood behind me when asking for my order which was a bit odd as I didn’t know if she was speaking to me. Toilets very clean.
21/05/2025: Really nice cafe-restaurant. I had the hash and chorizo. Very reasonable price and very tasty and filling. The place is busy and popular.

Salt

11/11/2025: Generous food portions and great service! We visited on a rainy day, so we ended up sitting indoors, but the atmosphere was still lovely. Would love to come back and try the terrace seating next time; it looks like the perfect spot to enjoy a nice meal with a view.
26/10/2025: I found myself visiting family in County Cork, out by Midleton. On a lazy Sunday morning, I decided to take a drive out to Cork city and grab brunch at a place I had read about. Salt is a great little neighbourhood spot. Small but well formed, the place can’t help but be welcoming. I was served by Lizzie, who made me feel as if this was my umpteenth visit. I ordered a flat white, orange juice, and the Huevos Ranchero… and boy, what a breakfast that was! Truly filling, warming, and set me up for a day out to Blarney and beyond. Salt is a great spot in Cork.
