The Friary in

We were visiting from Florida to find my ancestral grave site in Roscommon and stopped in at the friary on our way back. The food was great! My wife and family all had the traditional meal and I had the chicken goudons which were good. I wish I would have tried the lamb special but hope to return one day.

Steak sandwich was delicious, worth a visit.

Stopped here on the drive to Dublin. Was a bit later in the day so the menu was limited in terms of light bites (dinners/mains only), but the staff were extremely helpful and friendly, recommending scones and tea to fuel the remainder of our journey. Restaurant had both a more decorated indoor section and a lighter conservatory style area. Well worth a visit if you are in the area or passing through.

Friendly welcome, generous with good tea and toast, beautifully presented. Top Irish breakfast. We even sat outside in the sun.

Amazing Thai chef!!! Amazing blonde haired women manager she couldn't do more for us lovely person! We stopped here half way home from our road trip and what a find!! So cosy and great homemade comfort irish food thank you so much great experience!! Big portions. Cash tips only!!

I absolutely love it here. The food is very clearly freshly made. Portions are generous and the staff can’t do enough to ensure you’re looked after. Toilets on site are large and very clean with all you will need. Great atmosphere, clean and tidy restaurant. Very positive staff and again- amazing food!!!

Very inviting place and the waitress we had was very approachable and checked on us few times and have gluten free options, just ask and it can be adjusted for you, depending but at alas I will be back again! Had bacon and cabbage and gluten free brownies and mom had apple pie.
