The g Hotel & Spa in Galway

The G has a decent location. We did end up taking taxis into town in the evening. There is free self parking. The only issue is getting out of there (even for the taxis) requires an awkward drive through a tight parking lot. The entire staff was professional and friendly. I think the decor is cool, lots of velvet and fun colors. Our room was clean and super spacious. Robes and slippers provided. The bed was very comfortable and allowed for a great night of sleep. There's even a mini-fridge that you can actually use and not get charged for. On check in there was a little bag of snacks and a plate of desserts with a lovely welcome note. Turn down service brought some tasty chocolates. Really nice touches. One of the highlights of the stay was the breakfast. These were undeniably our best breakfasts of our week in Ireland.

A tired hotel trading off its reputation. Decor and carpets are outdated, lift at the front was broken so needed to go out the back door and 5min detour if you have a pram or in a wheelchair. No laundry service on a Sunday. Spa closes at 8pm. Room was big and spacious and bed was very comfortable. Location isn’t great, 30min walk to get into the centre and our room looked onto a Lidl car park. While hotel is built onto the side of a retail park, doesn’t exactly scream 5 stars. For the same price I would recommend the best room is a city centre hotel.

We enjoyed the hotels design theme. Our breakfast dining experience service was attentive & the menu choices were excellent. The reception & valet service was excellent. The bed was comfortable & the towels & linens we high quality. Enjoyed the bath tub too💙

Outstanding service and accommodations.

The staff are Exceptional. The Room was very dated needs improvement, corridors were too dark also very dated. The piped Music on a Friday night in the Bar was dreadful creating a really bad atmosphere, we left and went to the pub across the road. One of The flagpoles outside the main entrance was broken and just left lying across the shrubbery all weekend, not a great look for a 5 star hotel, which the hotel no longer is but they are still charging a 5 star rate. Much improvement needed to regain past Glories.

Afternoon tee was waste of money. Don’t like breakfast $20 menu without ability to order and pay per item. Service and food in bar was terrible. We always had to flag someone down to order drinks. Food was average. Room was very nice and luxurious.

Had an exceptionally good stay at the g hotel . The junior suite and lake view made it. The parking is super foc. Underground lift straight to the floor. Perfect. Pity the geo restaurant is only open Thurs to Saturday. I missed out there. Top tip dont order the platter from the lounge menu you will be disappointed. I made it known and the charge was removed. "Iceland" say no more. But as we had been allocated a top room. We were more than pleased. Oh the a la cart breakfast is as good as you'll get anywhere. Staff are plentyfull and very professional 👏. You can eat whatever you see on the menu in course's. So do book the breakfast as part of your package. Junior suite with lake view from now on.

The location in a shopping centre is not ideal, no windows to open means the room is stuffy and can't be ventilated. The aircon is not great, very weak. I was in a shop so I just bought milk, coffee, biscuits and colddrink. I didn't even bother asking, it should have been in the room. I was not told about the spa being included before we left home, so didn't have shorts or other appropriate clothing.

Would recommend a visit to the G . Rooms,food, drinks and staff are excellent.right on the coast overlooking the Lough it's in a prime location for getting around , walking distance to town and a few minutes from the motorway ideal for all types of travellers.enjoyed our short but fulfilling stay.

Massive queue whe I arrives with guests. No help with luggageat a 5 star hotel not good. Toilets clean bit dark and very badly lit.
