Great takeaway with super friendly staff and tasty food

I would highly recommend stopping here if you are in Westport. Our server was a sweetheart, very friendly and made us feel at home. My husband had the vegetable soup and a chicken burger, and said it was delicious, I tried the soup and wished I had ordered it, it was really tasty. I had the beef burger and enjoyed every single bite, also good chips. Thank you

With a great reputation for its diverse chicken and pizza among other dinner dishes, The Galleon Restaurant--central: off Westport's Bridge Street--is also super for lunch. And its apple tart is something else! Served warm with both ice cream and cream plus a chunk of real traffic-light-red strawberry, it kind of summarizes the sunny ambience that Caroline and the staff have created here in this serenely vibrant Westport arcade. We had a table for two here on the 31.1.26 Tempura prawns were good and so was the garlic mushrooms. The mains beef stroganoff was excellent one with rice one with homemade chips both cooked perfectly. The staff seem nice and accommodating we noted not just with us but with older people too which is a big plus. The prices are good considering the energy costs nowadays we wish them well in their future and hope to return again when we are in westport 👌
